Texas' lack of continuity on D is really hurting them today. They just don't seem to be playing together on D today.
I really like Joey Dorsey from Memphis for the Rockets. What are the odds that he comes out this year?
didnt even notice this had been moved. UT is getting shalacked.. role players are virtually invisible. I had USC as a sleeper.. but UNC is going to sh*tcan whoever they meet next round...
there goes my bracket still got 13 out of the sweet 16 right though but my national champs are out lol.
That was embarassing. No commitment to defense. No commitment to taking the ball inside. Just jack up fadeaway threes and escort USC to the basket for a layup or foul every possession. That was one of the most undisciplined basketball teams I've ever seen... I know they're young, but even high school kids should play smarter than that. Ridiculous.
i really wanted to pick against us in round 2 against usc but didn't just for school pride. i had zero good feelings coming into this tourney and both games confirmed why. just an atrociously pathetic effort today, combined with DJ having his worst game ever, every shot rolling out for us, them hitting lots of tough shots, no one trying, giving up too many layups and offensive rebounds, and the refs ****ing us over when nothing else was going wrong. bad bad game to end KD's career on. memphis and ku keeping my bracket going.
Well, can't say I am surprised at all, since I did pick USC to win this one. Still, I didn't think it would be a complete arse-kicking festival. UT sucked pretty bad and it showed. So, down to one Texas team remaining. Hopefully A&M will represent us well.
Yes and no. Because Tubby basically teaches you to play defense or you don't play.. in that comparison they have learned the same system. Defensively Randolph can block, but that's about the only thing he does better than Chuck on that end. The beauty that is Chuck is his relentless effort. Randolph can easily lose his focus, Chuck puts forth 200% the entire time he's on the court. Randolph has a much better set of post moves, if he uses them. He has improved on rebounding this year and has looked more impressive on that end. Honestly, I think he will stay in school one more year. So he would be eligible in the 2008 draft after he graduates. The only thing you really have to worry about with Randolph is keeping his attention. He gets discouraged in a game and totally zones out on it. Though this year he has improved DRAMATICALLY in that regard. He did have a couple of poor games in the middle of the season, which basically gave UK no chance to win in those games. The fact that he wasn't even looked at after his sophmore season draft matured him a lot, but he still has a bit of growing up to do, I think. If you just watched him during the KU game or the first round against Villanova, he was playing at about his best. So to sum up this long freaking post. Defensively, he's about the same as Chuck fundamentally, Offensively, he's a little better than Chuck because of his height and soft shooting touch. Overall hustle Chuck beats him by a mile.
Would Vince Young be allowed to play college basketball for UT by NCAA rules? We could have used him tonight.
