Yes but compared to where the D-League started, it is a great improvement. I can see it replacing the "one and done" college kids who just want to go straight to the NBA.

So, although it may be a "joke" now, it has been very helpful to a lot of people and their careers.

 

how do you get blown out with a team with two NBA players when the other team just has manny harris? morris and smith deserve to stay down there. hope its just morris not having fully recovered from the ankle injury

 

The Canton team only dressed 8 players and they put it to the Vipers. Morris and the rest were thinking this to be sure win. Oh well they will play the same team on Saturday. I will be at that game.

 

He is putting solid numbers, I know it's the Dleague, at least he is not too trigger happy. Seems like he buys into team's concept of moving the ball more, still getting most of the points of all Vipers.

 

Morris looks uninterested at times during the game. Smith seems to take it easy as well.

 

The Rockets crowd should get them energized.

He looked bad on defense before the ankle injury. He also looked uninterested before the ankle injury as well. The D-League is garbage and I honestly have no clue why we even him Morris down there unless it's just to keep him in shape. He isn't getting any kind of player development.

 

He's down there because he wouldn't be getting any minutes in the NBA, it's that simple. Better to keep him in shape and shooting the basketball in game situations than have him riding the bench as a third string guy who never steps onto the court.

 

He shouldn't be riding the bench in the NBA in the first place IMO.

Send him out there, give him at least a 3-4 games of solid minutes to see what he can do. Just because he doesn't practice well (if that is the problem) doesn't mean he won't produce.

 

3-4 minutes a game is a joke. McHale doesn't want to run guys out there if they're not going to be legitimate parts of the rotation, and I don't blame him.

Morris will get his chance after the trade deadline whenever we can get rid of a wing or 2.
