Maybe the D-league exists precisely to teach entitled prospects that NOTHING should be taken for granted.

Unfortunately, most NBA players seem so thick-headed that the exact opposite response happens.

Seems like Morris is still struggling with the NBA 3 pointer.

I am not sure exactly what his percentage has been in his three d league games so far, but it seems like he hasn't established a comfort level shooting that far away yet.

I've seen him a couple times with the vipers so far get the ball passed to him at about the distance of the college 3 line and then step back behind the NBA line and then miss the shot. His shot looks good, but I don't think he has internalized the shape of the NBA court yet.

Hopefully a trade will come through soon and clear out Martin or Chase so that Morris can come back and split time, compete and develop at the three along side Parsons.

Because he's getting reps and he's getting coached.

On the NBA level, at best he comes into the game and watch Lowry pass to KMart or Scola while jacking up the occasional 3. At best he gets in maybe 1 practice a week where the focus would be on rotation players and not him.

In the D-League, he can work on anything he needs to work on. The coaches can teach him everything that needs to be taught. And he gets to play 30+mpg to put those teachings into practice. Inferior competition? Sure. But for a kid that's trying to learn it's much more preferable than him getting spotty minutes here.

Just checked and it was 40% before this game, not sure how many he's sot though. He's 0-3 today, so that's obviously going to go down.

I just started watching, but it looked like it started out well. Then like the rest of the team, he went cold.

Morris has really struggled in the second half. He's 6-20 since making his first 4 shots early in the first period.

I hate to be critical, but Morris seems disinterested in playing defense.

I was thinking the same thing, almost as though he's just more interested in getting the rebound.

There was one defense (Ahearn's three) where the camera didn't show one player at the corner, Morris was actually defending 2 players (they were in a zone and there was a breakdown), it is why he came out late to contest the three. Other than that, it is true that he doesn't put too much effort.

This Charlo guy has given him some problems, defensively it's the most similar thing to an NBA defense I've seen so far, and trully Morris has struggled at those possesions.

Yeah I agree after watching this more. On top of that it looks like Morris really really bad on defense.

Paul Mokeski may be the ugliest human being I've ever seen in my life.

None of these summer leaguers play defense.
