Offense and degence is just an avergae of several ratings in those areas Per D= perimeter defence Post D - post defence Handle rebound IQ - average of players offense and deffensive IQ in the game. Will the player be in the right spot at the right time, make the right pass, get open, defend properly etc
Okay that is what I thought. I wasn't sure if IQ was defensive or offensive IQ. I don't agree with a lot of these ratings to be honest. But whatever, there just letters & numbers not set in stone.
There're actually many hidden attributes in NBA2K, like clutchness, consistency, potential... I'm interested in Lin's and our rookies' potential rating.
Well 2K sports 2K13 just twitted this a hour ago. D12 is 96 instead of 95, Bosh is 83 instead of 82, and Hibbert is 86 instead of 79. They probably just made changes to the ratings. So disregard all the rockets players rating I put, there may be a couple of more changes.
Agreed. That makes no sense. Also, Lin's rebounding rate should be higher. He has 6.6 rebound rate putting him 16th among all point guards last year and his 11.1 defensive rebound rate was good enough for 13th overall. Lin's inside scoring is a lot better than his outside scoring. I think Parsons IQ as well as his handle should be a lot higher as well, and his perimeter D like you said. Just a few things I noticed.
Rockets are like the worst team to play w/ in 2k. Some fun teams, IMO Bucks - Backcourt of Jennings and Ellis = fun Jazz - hate the Jazz in real life, but in the game I take out Bell, move Hayward to the 2, Millsap to the 3 (stretch the floor) and bring in Favors at the 4. Real fun.
Favorite team in 2k is the Grizzlies - Conley is one of the best 3 point shooters in the game, OJ Mayo is lethal at scoring, Rudy Gay is simply dominant on both ends, Randolph has great post game and rebounding, and Marc Gasol is a true 7 footer with a good post game and rebounding as well. Other great teams to use are the Warriors because of their offense (as long as Steph Curry is healthy and available), Pacers because of their insane depth, and the Nuggets can score lights out. I also see the Hornets being a very fun team to play with because of Eric Gordon, Anthony Davis, and Austin Rivers.
