    Dear Clutchfans,

I'm not sure if this is where I should post the thread but I just thought it would be nice to have one where all NBA2K11 players can share great tips & strategies for our beloved Houston Rockets.

What are your bread and butter plays?
What sliders do you run with the rockets?
What are the do's-and-don'ts for our players? our team?
What defense system is best with the rockets?

    Discuss.

    I just play "Rookie" level...

I kill Celtics, Heat, Magic, Lakers with this team for satisfaction :)

Seriously though, I just play... I don't really run plays and all. Just attack with Martin and Lowry and then pass it to open players pretty much.. and I play good "defense".

Good thread, i'm no expert on the game so I was hoping someone could also help me out with defense...

Do you all guard the ball handler? I try to, I keep my distance but they always manage to either blow passed me or nail the jumpshot...Who do you control on defense?

Side note - Terrence Williams is so fun to use on 2k11 .

Twill is a beast in association mode

I dont guard the PG, I usually always man the center or a wing man playing the passing lanes.

I play on Hall of Fame
Don't rush, run the offense correctly,
on D, play the passing lanes,
Kevin Martin, once you mastered his shot, he is unstoppable...
in a 8 min/quarter game, if you try, 80 points easy

For sure my bread and butter play is during transition while the other team sets up the defense, Kyle Lowry runs up to the half court line and just as he passes the line, passes it to Kevin Martin in the left wing for an open (usually) 3-pointer.

This play only works when Martin's man tries to play the passing lane and gambles (which happens alot). For me, it works around 75% of the time. I don't do it repeatedly though cuz that'd be cheesing.

This is the way people who don't know how to play correctly play. They allow the computer to play defense for them and I give them absolutely 0% respect.

Playing the passing lanes is the easy way out. Those who are actually respected and know how to play, learn the real skill of learning to defend correctly. If you just got 2k11, please don't let this become a habit.

Just played an online game vs the Knicks.

Failed terribly with Brooks... anyone got tips for Aaron?
Sometimes I can make contested 3s with him and sometimes he even misses them open... I don't dare to drive the lane with him because hes way too short.

So far I'm 20-3 on NBA2k11 online. I post up a lot with scola, people always fall for a pump fake when you post up. AB has a nice jumper.

I run plays alot, or pick and roll, do a ***** ton ofbasket cuts ( either with off ball player control where I'm directing a teammate, or with give and go's after I pass to someone else.

Kmart, as mentioned before, is unstoppable once you get his shot down. Twill can be a beast too. Usually when I play, Yao is not on the roster so my lineup looks something like
    Ab
    Kmart
    Twill
    Scola
    Jhill/chuck
    Works good for me.

I've had real bad experiences laying it up with brooks.. hes just way too short.
By penetration, do you mean blowing past the guy and taking leaners and step backs?

So do you have any tips? I'm not terrible but he will blow passed me 60% of the time, I just tried playing and controlling the C/PF and letting the computer play D and it was easier but not as fun...
