Ottomaton, So, Muggsy Bogues is the least talented player ever in the NBA, and George Muhresan is the most talented? I mean, heck, if size is talent, as you put it. ------------------ I have a dream.........his name's Hakeem.
Let me explain my definition for your understanding. In my model, size is a subset of talent. Talent is a superset of such things as size, quickness, ball handling, shooting, passing, strength, etc. Therefore, one's talent is derived from the subsets, each subset weighted in various degrees dependant upon position. I apologise for not elucidating my definition suficently. [This message has been edited by Ottomaton (edited March 02, 2000).]
Kenyon Martin sucks! (OK just keep saying it out loud and maybe all the other scouts will believe it and we can draft him with out any problems. Remember what Goering said, it's easier for people to believe a big lie than a little one.) ------------------ The truth is out there.
I think after the game Kenyon Martin just had, I think some more NBA scouts were sold on this young man. Put down 33 points with quite of few of those coming down the stretch to key a 2 point win over Depaul. He did most of his damage down low against Steven Hunter, a 7 footer, and Lance Williams, who is 6'11". Very impressive performance scoring at least 8 points in the last 3 minutes. One interesting point is when Dick Vitale mentioned that 43 current NBA players are younger than the 23 year old Martin. If he is selected number one, he would be the oldest number one pick in at least a decade. Martin was amazing.
The only scouts not sold on Martin are the one's drafting out of the top 3. He is the premier college player, of course I like that guy Fizer too. Mihm/Koncack I am not so high on. DaDakota
