Uhm yea Noah sux and that's why we can get him. If he was still DPOY caliber do you think that Chicago would trade him for an expiring 30 y.o Dwight with questionable health ? Other teams have brains too, not only Morrey.

Only players I don't want to lose are Capela, Harden, and Motiejunas.

I'm open to everyone else being on the trade block.

i'd rather wait for dwight to get 100% which isnt far away, and enjoy him dominating the paint, then being the first half of the best twin tower lineup in the league when dmo is back.

if dwight played every game, this team would be around around 500, 1-2 games less or more.

We lost to the Knicks SOLEY because we had no bigs

I wonder can Dwight suit up for the 4th quarter in a situation like that? We needed him

I looked into this because it was shocking, to say the least.

For all of you that want Dwight gone, that's some pretty ungrateful garbage. He's going to stay here for the duration of his contract, and he'll go from there next year.

Dwight wants to be a big part of this team, as we all know.

What some of you are missing is the branding issue. Dwight's window is closing. He can still be dominant, but he knows that the market out there isn't going to pay him franchise money.

He will be here, unless some ungodly offer comes through.

And damn, James, give your boy some more touches in the pick and roll.

I've defended Dwight many times. I don't think he's "the problem", but I don't want the Rockets giving him a monopoly money contract extension, either. That would be Net's level stupid, and all it takes is one desperate GM to drive his asking price up, and the league never runs out of those.

Any logical person can see that Dwight knows he made a mistake by leaving Kobe. He realizes that Mamba only has 6 or 7 years left in his prime and wants to rejoin forces with the Lakers to become instant title favorites.

I don't think Kobe really wanted him there. The Lake Show probably didn't want him to leave for nothing. Dwight could have been traded.

When Dwight signed, he said that one of the big factors was being able to learn to become a better post player from McHale. Now that McHale is gone...

he learned and practiced under McHale for 2 years I am not sure what else he would have to learn from him. Hakeem is still around for Dwight.

Biggest thing for Dwight is to learn how to establish good position legally. He gets called (sometimes unfairly) for a lot of fouls when trying to establish himself.

And as Codman said - Guys need to get the ball to Dwight more especially Harden on the pick and roll. We all want Dwight to run PnR but whats the point if he isnt rewarded for it?

Once D-Mo comes back healthy, we can trade him for a true point PG and a 1st round draft pick.

    I think it's a pretty good idea

Look we all know Dwight Howard is way out of his prime. He is a little tiny shell compared to what he was in Orlando. We could easily find a great trade for him. I think Clint Capela is a rising star for the rockets and I think him or D-MO could play the center while we could trade for a Joe Johnson or possibly even Festus Ezili. I wouldn't be disappointed at all if we get rid of him.

    CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR....

I also don't think DHoward should get a max contract, not at this point in his career! Not because of his age but because of all the wear and tear that his body has and the injuries that he's had on his knees. I also don't like the fact that he still isn't playing in back-to-backs, but I can live with that if he remains healthy the whole year! I also understand the frustration that many of you have with him, I mean after a decade in the league he still hasn't developed a SOLID low post game, he has no go to move unless you think the alley-oop is a go to move, and he's still woeful at the free throw line. (See a frickin psychotherapist and make some more free throws!)

After pointing out his flaws, he is still (IMHO) a very rare commodity in the NBA! He is still a legitimate double-double player that is THE anchor to your defense! He isn't Superman anymore, BUT he can still dominate and take over a game in certain occasions! I still view him as a major key in our quest for another championship!

    2015-2016 Double-double players index....

    PF Anthony Davis........ 23.3ppg......10.3rpg.....2.5 blkpg
    PF D.Cousins................27.9ppg......11.2rpg.....1.5 blkpg
    PF K.Love.....................19.4ppg......11.7rpg.....0.6 blkpg
    C Andre Drummond......18.1ppg......17.6rpg.....1.4 blkpg
    C Greg Monroe.............16.4ppg.......10.1rpg.....0.9 blkpg
    C H. Whiteside.............14.5ppg.......11.1rpg.....4.8 blkpg
    C D.Howard.................13.8ppg.......13.6rpg.....2.0 blkpg
    C D. Jordan.................10.4ppg........13.0rpg.....2.8 blkpg
    C Zaza Pachulia.......... 10.7ppg.......10.0rpg.....0.6 blkpg

Howard could very easily be in the top 3-4 of these players IF HE GOT MORE TOUCHES!!!

(P.S.) I only listed the legitemate double-double players and I omitted Westbrook because he's not a BIG.

Agreed. Those are the only ones I'd hang onto. Harden, Capela, D-Mo(assuming he can regain his 2014-15 form), and Harrell. Everyone else should be made available in a trade(or let go after the season if they're free agents) if this team doesn't get it turned around soon.

Basically the Rockets are looking at a potential rebuild similar to the Boston Celtics a little over a decade ago. They made a surprise run to the Conference Finals in 2002 and within a year, Ainge blew up that team which he felt was not title material and went back to the drawing board by building around Paul Pierce and stockpiling assets. And correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Morey with the Celtics during that rebuild? So he should be familiar with this experience.
