watching international refs call traveling in a team USA game is like watching nba refs call moving picks in Warriors games. somehow it's always magically just one team that gets called.
Why did they start calling offensive fouls on James Harden when he initiates contact on drives? But often times, they would call a foul on the defender as they would with all players. The league had to have instructed those calls. Consistency is a big issue. The league office should stay in its place and stop trying to control the games. Fans don't pay to see the refs or adam silver's bald head. They ruin the games and destroy momentum on countless occasions. Something has to change.
its funny, james harden does something good againist the warriors. And reggie miller( another west coast nuthugger) has something negative to say. Now social media starts talking about it
The problem is NBA rules. Go back to pre-1994 rules, which allowed REAL defense and REAL inside play, with handchecking and such, instead of blowing the whistle whenever the defender is more than a turnstile. No, that's not a reference to the Rockets' glory days. That's just a coincidence. That's a reference to this great blog I read, which talks about how castrated today's D is. Have a read (but forgive the blog name).
That's the biggest deficiency of the game of basketball IMO - how influential the refs are and how inconsistent they are - not only game to game - but from team to team in the same game. No one will disagree that refs decide games all the time. That don't happen in golf - too bad golf sucks.
its the truth if draymon kicked a player in the nuts twice in fiba he would be ejected. In the EmbeA its business as usual
Re: Draymond Says more about the NBA than the refs specifically USA-Spain refs were horrendous on multiple ocassions
They called the end of the game really well... Yea they were a bit tech happy early on... That hook that Llull tried to get away with was called an offensive foul...so was the hand pop across DeAndre's face by Hernandez...
So those calls mske up for all the other horrible calls they made particularly in the 1st half. Not to me
Partially refs, partially rules. NBA refs and rules allow the make of superstars. It is more entertaining and it sells.
Those calls were even more horrible when you consider that each of those techs count as a personal foul and you foul out after only 5. Really poor management by the refs.
