    Terrible idea. The beauty of the draft is it is so close to the end of the season when people are still hyped about the championship. Why would you want to extend the draft BSing period and decrease the time rookies can spend with their actual team. Also, summer league starts in less than two weeks.

    Not crazy about the idea. As a fan, I want all of this sort of thing happening sooner, rather than later, and if I'm a player, once the playoffs are over, I'd be ready to go into off-season mode. Players need some time to chill. Never ending NBA promotion stuff, and that's what this is (the "awards show"), isn't doing the players, or the organizations trying to get their guys who need guidance into off-season programs to improve aspects of their games, any good at all (in my opinion). In other words, I see this as useless fluff interfering with the relatively short time players have to recharge their batteries after a long, brutal season.

    But - - FA before draft sounds good to me ala NFL.

    Hell no. I hating waiting on the draft but its not like the NBA cares much what the fans want IF it runs in the face of profit

    Bad idea jeans. Moving the draft....you lose all that NBA momentum from the Finals. The july sports calendar: MLB All Star Game, and then NFL Traing camp reports. Better for he NBA to stay as is and go out with a bang, transitioning into the NFL season.

    Dumb, dumb, dumb. Is ESPN involved? That wouldn't surprise me in the least. They'd do a game show on LeBron's bowel movements if they thought people would watch.

    Who cares when they have the draft, I have never found myself waiting for the draft, it just happens and I watch whenever it's on.
