NBA Live plays like old people shag........... I honestly think that Live has yet to catch up with NBA 2K6........ They need to completely revamp/destroy everything and start over......

I dunno about you, but I actually like controlling players, instead of my games being robotic and have to push 50 million buttons just to preform a shot, thats just me tho. and yeah NBA Live 08 was crap, but NBA Live 08 and NBA Live 09 are two different animals... I wonder why 2k didn't even get nominated as one of the better sports games this year... hmmmm
For the better part of a decade, Live has been nothing more than brain dead arcade basketball with weak play mechanics. 2K has been - in both media reviews and fan reviews - hands down the favorite when it comes to solid, realistic NBA games. It should be of course - because the guys that make 2K were the same ones who made Live back when Live was good. Having said that, obviously we don't know if that is still the case with 09. We shall see.
2K Sucks but EA Sports took a couple guys from 2K to make their game better? So in essence, 2K is actually making NBA Live better. You should be thankful. Even EA knows 2K was the superior basketball game.

this is clutchfans, a big majority of people here don't like live. yeah im a hater, I'm anti- EA. im gonna have to check it out for myself though, as soon as its available on ps3
When they were completely unfinished, or atleast 2K was. How would a game get nominated if it is not finished? Live has much better advetising, but gameplay goes to 2K in a landslide Lets wait for the official reviews, I'll bookmark this thread and call you out when 2K destroys Live........
2K has been a better game than Live for many years now. Of course, that's just opinion. Heck, I hope Live is better this year, b/c I like some graphics to go with some gameplay. As far as EA vs. Visual Concepts/2K I'm still mad at the NFL for giving EA exclusive rights to make an NFL game. NFL 2K was much better to me.
NBA 09, the worst one. Don't put any clout into sports game nominations. Those clowns judging no nothing about sim basketball.
Dude, stop campaigning. Let the 2K demo come out and let people decide for themselves. Do you have a vested interest in Live being declared the superior game this year?
and forget the reviews, how about you actually go play the game and decide for yourself instead of relying on reviews... makes much more sense to me.
I have, and I don't think the reviews point out just how big of a gap there is between NBA 2K and NBA Live..... In fact they are quite generous......
