    can't embed:

NBA pre-season game, Celtics @ Knicks. Kevin Garnett gets two quick techs and is ejected. Commentator Tommy Heinsohn isn't pleased.

players have been arguing since the history of the league.

stars need to be on the court playing

People will see when theyre team is getting Dick Bavetta'd in the playoffs and their teams stars get kicked out ala Ron Artest only to lose the series and the refs are justified against any backlash because you cant say anything

I don't disagree with the rule but more why it was instituted. Players complain and sometimes get their way later on in that particular game or even season but the rule was created to stop having the refs look so bad after certain calls. If the players don't argue, it brings less attention to the play and less focus on how horrible the call probably was. Stern was tired of getting called out about how poor the officiating truly is so...he shut everyone up LITERALLY.

It is god awful. Let the dam players play. They would probably argue less with less harsh rules, because they are arguing about how harsh they are. Part of being a referee is being able to take criticism. This is probably gonna let poor officiating go perhaps unnoticed...

Stern and the refs are just a bunch of p*****s. If you can't handle criticism then don't put yourself in a position to where you HAVE to take criticism.

I swear, soon he'll put an end to pre-game traditions and on-court celebrations.

Those Boston commentators are THE biggest Homers.

Last year when we beat the them in Boston the loud one became incensed when Perkins got called for a moving pick. He saw the replay and just STFU.

I hope they do toss out Player that try to intimidate refs, like KG.

I hate KG with an undying passion, but I don't understand why that would warrant getting ejected...

after any bad call, players should all agree to stop frozen and listless in the middle of the court with bugeyes and not even move an eyelash and hold their breath for as long as possible......would make great highlights on sportscenter every nite
