This is not going to end well. Sterling sounds like he's in a mentally-weak state.

I think when he recognizes the damage this tape is going to cause his team, the league and the sports world, he may do more than just step down.

His tone was worrisome, and as angry as I am listening to this (as a biracial man), I hope he finds help. He's so damn old though. It may be too late.

 

Stern is partly to blame. He always tolerated Sterling's mismanagement and behavior over the years. The Clippers deserve a good owner.

I'm sure he's not the only owner in sports that feels like that. He just happened to get caught saying it.

I bet the owners of all the major sports leagues have a way to remove an owner on grounds like this.

 

I think 100% they have a way to force a sale of the franchise. All major business franchises have clauses to protect their product. The only question is whether they move to force a sale of the team behind closed doors, in public, or they just try to sweep this under the rug.

 

They'd have to remove themselves first. Most of these billionaires are some of the worst scum on the face of this Earth, they wouldn't be billionaires in the first place if they weren't.

 

Donald sterling isn't a great human being, but this doesn't enrage me.

He should be out as owner because you can't be in that position and hold those views, but as a black guy this doesn't set off the enrage meter for me.
