They are still a younger team, what did all those guys expect? They are deep, got no superstar, a playmaking Center. Spells inconsistency at some point.
I knew that damn Bucks’ game last night would have people saying Giannis even though Harden has been putting up those kinds of stats all season long.
I’m all-in on the 2 seed, but I see your point. Split ends the Blazers chance at the 2 seed. If we want Denver, split would be the best option for us and still have a chance at the 2 seed. If worried about the Rockets losing one of the last two, we want Portland to lose both to be able to get that 3rd seed. As far as the bottom of the West: - Clips are in 6th, have the LAL (now),@GS, Utah - OKC is in 7th, have @min, Hou, @mil - SAS is in 8th, have @Cle, Dal So if we don’t want OKC, then the best way to get that is to ensure we beat them next Tuesday. Worst scenario for that would be for Denver to win both. If that happens, Rockets game against OKC probably means nothing, they rest guys, OKC wins and likely moves into 6th while Houston finishes 3rd. Beating OKC likely ensures they finish 7th or 8th; which could be bad if we finish 2nd. Luckily, the Spurs have the tiebreaker over OKC and have a cake schedule so an OKC loss probably means they finish 8th barring the Clips losing all 3 of their remaining games (hence your “I am praying the Clippers don’t tank” comment up above). 3 way tiebreaker also ends up with OKC in 8th (Spurs 6th, Clips 7th) as long as Houston beats OKC. Again, means we want that game to mean something for the Rockets next Tuesday. So, if we’re trying to avoid OKC, root for a split or a Portland sweep so that the Rockets-Thunder game means something on Tuesday. If we want to avoid Portland as well, root for the split.
Don’t understand why the Nuggets are doubling Kanter and leaving Layman wide open at the 3 point line.
Ah ok. I'm fine with the 3 seed facing Clippers in first (and hopefully if Rockets get to the next round) with Denver in the second round. OKC playing GSW in the first round. Whatever scenario that is. Dream scenario is what I want but Rockets in the 2nd seed which would lock up Harden for MVP.
Even without Nurkic I believe Portland is the better team of the 2 in the playoffs unless they choke like last year.
Nothing against it but watching GSW cheerleaders doing a Bollywood number looks bizarre in their Golden and Blue colors.
Clippers about to drop to 7th with the warriors and jazz remaining on their schedule. We might open against the thunder in the 1st round
