its actually kind of funny.. He had another one where he fed AI under the basket but AI decided to throw it out for a 3.. Green was like WTF...haha
Jvg's comments are exactly what the current rox players need to hear. Why anyone would not want his basketball mind on their team is ridiculous
Scheme matters, but the great defenders are those who take pride in their defense and rarely take plays off. GSW has 4 of those guys. That's why their defense is so damn good.
If OKC took a page out of how Cleveland played GSW last finals, they could have the best shot to beat them in a series.
Wow. Lots of good games tonights. Not this OKC/GSW blowout. There's like 3 games now that's within 3 points and in the 4th quarter. Lakers are up by 2????????? Dallas is winnning???
Statiscally, GSW played a perfect game. They turned it over 3 times in the first half, and shot 60%. And OKC is only down by 14 considering they have a lineup with no Durant or WB in there for a 4-5 minute stretch. IF I was OKC, I would slow it down to a dragging halt. Post up WB and Durant at every play and only run on steals or unless WB rebounds the ball. OKC does have the best chance of beating GSW in the playoffs b/c GSW simply has nobody to guard KD/WB. But they gotta play slower, rebound better, and get to the line more. Making it into a track meet, they will lose 10/10 to the GSW.
On the bright side the more Gs wacks OKC behind the further KDs foot is out the door. On top of that even if kd does want to go to gs im not so sure gs really wants or even need him.
Slowing it down would allow GS to get their defense set... which would lead to more missed shots and forced/created turnovers... which would lead to far more fast breaks. As it is, OKC still was able to put up 59 by playing up/down and looking to score before GS could get set.... that's the best way to score on them, now you have to figure out if you can stop them from scoring (OKC's defense is suspect as is).
OKC's bench is not good enough to hold off GSW's 2nd unit. GS can basically rest anyone in their 9 man rotation and barely miss a step. It's ridiculous.
