They remain an elite defensive team when Barbosa, Barnes, and Livingston come in. Its energy... and the system... and energy.
Explain to me why Billy Donovan goes any amount of time without at least 1 of Ibaka/Westbrook/Durant on the floor.
its hard to understand how anyone who loves the game of basketball can hate the warriors this year... IF you ever wondered what near perfect unselfish/team ball/folks who do all the little things/effort looks like, this is it folks.
Warriors just too deep. Outside of the Spurs, no team has the depth to hang with them. OKC and other good teams would have to play their best players 42+ minutes to stand a chance.
Probably to have them all rested/full strength at the same time. Its not a terrible strategy... he's just doing it at the wrong time (he's doing it when the other team also has their bench/resting starters in at the start of the 2nd quarter). He should probably rest them all in the 1st (if he's going to do it at all)... and then let them all play the 2nd (basically do the exact same thing he's doing now... just flip the quarters... and he'll then get the matchups he wants).
Because they bring in another lock down defender off the bench in Iggy. The system is as good as it is b/c they ALWAYS have a lock down defender on the floor, most of the time TWO. That's why they always have energy to play offense. They rarely have to run around like headless chickens like most team who constantly have to send help.
Yeah, and they play excellent team/help defense. They're all giving max energy on the defensive end... something that may be a foreign concept to most Rockets fans. JVG had a team with Scott Padgett, T-mac, Wesley, Sura on one leg, and slow-footed Yao playing elite defense. Its energy/effort/scheme... with the first two aspect able to compensate for a lot.
Oh didnt you know? According to the commentators singler is a valuable contributor. The things i hear from these idiots!
It's the same with offense. Obviously there's energy/effort/scheme. But just like with having great offensive players to lead to great offense, great defensive players make it easier to play great defense. I don't know why you are even arguing this. You take Green out of this lineup and that defense will go down a ton despite the scheme Kerr is running.
People will never get it man. Defense is a team thing, first and foremost. Great coaches can get good defense out of most players.
well, let's see . . . 20 point lead with five minutes left. On pace to blow OKC out by 30 just like all the others.
