Wanna bet all the headlines will be about Giannis having 48 points but losing? Plus, I bet they won't mention his 16 free throws tonight.

No. Running a system has become underrated. Running a system raises a team's floor. Combine a system with a star player and you get a contender. Giannis missed a game recently and the Bucks streak continued because they run a system. The Raptors are still a good team because they run a system. Think back to when Jordan retired and the Bulls were still a strong team because they ran a system. Of course, the Bucks aren't contenders without Giannis, the Raptors aren't without Leonard, and the Bulls weren't without Jordan.

its only the system that makes him good and his stats inflated
Doncic should stop being so ball dominant and pass the ball more

I don't think it has become "underrated" and it's more so the shift of power from owners/coaches to the players. Think about the Spurs...Leonard left because of Pop's stubbornness and unwillingness to shift away from his "system" for anyone including maybe the best player in the game today. Durant is on his 3rd team in 5 years, LeBron keeps bouncing around, as do guys like Kyrie who IMO shouldn't be getting that superstar type power but the threshold these days to receive that is pretty low.

The Mavs hit the jackpot in getting Luka with already having a great coach/system in place and full of supporters.

They'll likely start a streak of losing now that the "magic fairy dust" of having their star player go down kicks in...always feel like the first game in the NBA/NFL after a devastating injury favors the team who just lost that player. Plus, the Bucks had NO idea what to expect from the Mavs on offense and I can almost guarantee Seth Curry isn't going to go off like that again.

Both Mavs and Bucks attempted 41 3's, Mavs at 39% and Bucks at 26%.

Giannis played decent, but they made him earn at the line free throw line.

Mavs bench played better and Porzingis was like +20.

Seth Curry won't score 26 every game though.

Dallas won the first quarter by 14 and by quarters the Bucks never recovered fully,

only cutting the deficit within 4-5 points at best.

I still think this is an anomaly.
