What does our bench consist of? Terry is decent, but not shooting well lately now that other teams know all they have to do is close out on him since he can't drive to the hoop. D-Mo has been forced into the starting lineup, so he no longer counts. Black and Dorsey are horrible. Papa is a good player, but inconsistent and certainly not skilled or quick enough to finish around the basket or knock down a midrange jumper. Daniels has barely gotten any time this year thank to his shot being off. Cisco can't hit a shot if his life depended on it. And Canaan must've said something to McHale, cuz he's been stuck in his warmups the entire game since Bev's return. We have 2 decent contributors in Papa and Terry, 1 who could be good in Canaan if McHale would ever play him, and 1 more in Daniels who if he could find his shot at least would be able to provide some scoring. That's a pretty weak bench, particularly with regard to the frontcourt. This Rockets team is basically like the 04-05 squad early on when they were basically T-Mac and Yao and nothing else. Actually, it's probably more accurate to compare them to 05-06 since that team had a thin bench and was derailed by injuries.
Man we would be alright if we were healthy. Would McHales poor coaching get exposed in the playoffs, likely...but if we were healthy we'd be right up there too. We were killing weak teams too when we were healthy, but if you take out a star player in Dwight and a Key player (maybe even our 3rd best player, definitely our 3rd most consistent scorer) T.Jones you get a huge drop off. Look at the Bulls during this stretch here, they look like a scrub team. Even with just Noah out there. It's hard to replace guys you've put so much cap money into when they get hurt. The Thunder without WB and Durant still have Reggie Jackson and Ibaka, but it takes a huge hit because those players are worth so much. So yeah, we may get dominated against Dallas, but it's to be expected with our injuries. Just like we dominated the Spurs when they rested their guys. It has a lot more to do with the absence of T.Jones and Howard than it does than Parsons.
I called it at the start of the season...the curse of Kevin Love will strike in Cleveland. They won't make playoffs.
or Dallas is pretty good/better than we thought they were... Only team to win 3 games against them Champs Spurs in a playoff series last year
