Why would you keep him? Super expensive, and if you can possibly use him to gain perhaps two "fits" for your offense, you have to look at that. I know that's a team that is about star power, and personally I think a team with 4 name stars should keep those guys as role players will eventually join the group .... but Dwight Howard wins this long-term battle if the Lakers want to be relevant the next several years. If they can't make Pau work with Dwight, they're going to have to strongly consider moving him.
That's a big development. Man, D'Antoni has been such a failure as a coach for the Lakers. The Zen master would have found a way to make all 4 stars prosper together.
Really nice comeback by the Sixers. Have contained the Spurs offense quite well. The formula seems to be to put someone with a lot of length on Tony Parker and hope that you can contain Duncan 1 vs 1. If you double the Spurs offense will destroy you.
Spurs are just crazy in how they win games. 9-0 San Antonio run... Sixers are 0-6 with 3 turnovers during that stretch.
Pau Gasol trade stock at an all time low... Let's try this bull**** Morris/Patterson/Aldrich package that we seem to be offering everyone, lol...
Actually... If D'Antoni can somehow convince Gasol to take the Lamar Odom role of being that spark of the bench and really make him realize his importance it might work... But, I could be giving D'Antoni too much credit.
Lakers desperately need a bench. I'm not sure who they could really use that would be the best fit for them, outside of just "shooters" in general. I'm surprised they came back and took a lead here though... thought they were going to mail it in. 69 all heading to the fourth.
Another strong performance so far tonight by the Wizards. John Wall making a huge difference ever since coming back.
I haven't watched the Bulls much the las couple seasons. I really like the way Jimmy Butler plays judging by tonight.
He is a homeless man's Luol Deng. And I don't mean he is much worse than Deng. He was actually homeless growing up.
Strange but true: The 8-30 Wizards have a better winning percentage against Western Conference teams than the Rockets do. I'll let that soak in for a bit. (not by much, but they do)
The sooner the better. Would be a big win if the Wiz hand Portland their 6th straight loss (4 of those losses would be at home).
