Nuggets are definitely a lock to finish ahead of the Rockets. They will find their stride and finish 5th at the lowest.

Grueling win for OKC. Not a good way to start their toughest road trip of the season. KD and Ibaka looked totally exhausted on the bench during the last timeout.

For the Mavs, they have to feel good about the effort even though it snapped the winning streak. If injuries don't bite them further, they have a decent chance to make the playoffs IMO.

BB, Carlisle was going on a hunch Mike James gave him a better chance to win tonight over Darren Collison. I'm more negative on Collison than most people and don't have a problem with that decision.

mike james really had to have some balls to take that shot. it was 2-3 feet behind the 3point line. actually may have been the shot to finally take him out of the league.

OKC's double-switch on defense (which put Thabo on Dirk and denied him the ball) put Mike James on the spot. With the clock running down, it didn't look like the Mavs had another option at that point other than MJ trying to make something happen.

What happened to Mayo during that sequence? Mayo seemed to get reasonably free to receive the ball?

Also why don't you have a problem with Carlisle going with MJames over Collison?

Was at a bar in downtown Boston watching this. Entire bar freaked out when JET put them up by one 20 seconds before and then freaked out again when Belinelli made that shot while falling - he was sorta pushed by Terry but Marco exaggerated the contact and stilll made the shot. Ridiculously lucky.

I'm not a Darren Collison fan. Remember when he had those high-assist games with the Hornets when CP3 was injured? This is where his reputation got pumped up way higher than it belonged. I saw some parts of those games and he wasn't impressive to me. The good stuff must have happened right before or right after I tuned in. I wonder if the statistician was too generous crediting assists.

I was NOT a happy camper when the Pacers signed him to be their starting PG and knew he would fail. Fortunately they traded for George Hill (not so great either) who shoved him aside as starter last year.

Collison just isn't that talented and doesn't have a knack for doing the right thing in crunch time. He played great last night but Carlisle still didn't trust him.
