I was shocked to see so many people pick the Magic. I guess people picked who they wanted to win instead of who they thought would win.
Why people picked the Magic: 1) They, as a team, beat the best team in the NBA in the regular season. 2) Lebron + Cavs > Kobe + Lakers, ORL > Lebron + Cavs, therefore, ORL > Kobe + Lakers. 3) Magic beat the Lakers twice in the regular season, I believe. All of these factors = Lakers would most definitely lose. Except they didn't.
I think you misunderstood my apologize, perhaps due to my poor English. Those pictures I previously posted seems about 272*480 size from what I seen in some page. Perhaps they are compressed at high ratio but I have no idea until posting them. I really feel sorry.
No problem. I was just messing with you. A lot of sites don't TRULY resize their pictures, so when you go to post them somewhere else, they're huge. It's their mistake, and it's very very dumb for them to do that.
Congrats to the Lakers, I had called them to win the title when the playoffs started, I didn't expect our Rockets to give them the hardest challenge. .......The East is still very weak, the Cavs and Magic still have some major holes....... Also if we dont see any big changes in the West, its likely this Lakers team might win it all the next few years also.
As much as I don't like the Lakers, they sure deserved it. They were a much better team, much more patient and mentally stronger. But at the same time, I am kinda dissapointed with what Orlando played in this series. They were not ready since Game 1. They made some careless mistakes simply every game, I really didn't see their passion. Come on, those are FINALS. It was a horrible decision to bring back Nelson for this series. Sure, he is an AllStar but he wasn't even close to 100% and he was out of any rythm. Rafer and AJ should be mad because actualy they bad carried this team to those Finals and they deserved to play. Dwight Howard is overrated. If he is the best big man in the NBA now, than sorry but I don't agree. Sure, his defense, body and rebounding are phenomenal, but he has simply no 1 on 1 game and he can't play in traffic. He was a complete non-factor. The good thing though, is he is young and he is only gonna be better. It was a good lesson for him. Congratulations to the Lakers.
The Lakers played better and they won; I did think the Magic would put up more of a fight. They didn't show as much heart against the Lakers as the Rockets, no team did. I think Houston can be the number one challenger next season IF they make the right "tweeks."
Result wise, it appears that the Lakers-Magic series is very similar to Rox-Lakers, first round, 2004 Game 1 Houston 71 Los Angeles 72 OMFG Game 2 Houston 84 Los Angeles 98 Game 3 Los Angeles 91 Houston 102 Home team bounced back Game 4 Los Angeles 92 Houston 88 OT Almost, almost, almost, so close. Lakers came from behind to tie the game during the last min in the 4th quarter. Game 5 Houston 78 Los Angeles 97 Flame out If the result of game 1 and 2 are switched...
If only the Rockets of '04 had the opportunity of playing 3 home games against the Lakers in that series. Beside, Yao wasn't exactly a bona fide low post threat in his sophomore year.
the team that beats the rockets in the playoffs has never won the championship(excluding finals) until recently
