Dallas has adequate wing defenders in Marion/Stevenson/Kidd to match Bulls Deng/Brewer/Bogan, as well as interior defenders in Chandler/Haywood to Bulls Noah/Gibson. So I expect LeBron/Wade to score similar points vs Dallas compared to the Bulls. LeBron would get this. Wade would struggle at times.

On the other end, Dallas have too any offensive options for Miami to match. Miami's ISO offense would be to easy to figure out. If they don't have a large lead in the 4th quarter, Miami would be in trouble.

Marion has never been able to guard LeBron and Stevenson has had limited success against LeBron. Wade is a much better ball handler than anyone on OKC, and will be much more difficult to slow than Durant. And a 38 year old Kidd is not going to be able to effectively guard Wade by himself.

Since 2000 the Western Conference teams have won a whopping 8 times to 3 for Eastern Conference... Miami better step it up if they want the East to represent....

If Wade keeps shooting like he has been, they won't have to. He'll stop himself.

Heat struggled greatly in offense against the Bulls, are Deng/Brewer that much better defensively than Marion/Stevenson? Bulls outrebounded Heat at the offensive glass in every single game. Are Noah/Gibson/Boozer that much better than Chandler/Haywood/Dirk in rebounding department? Bulls had big problem to score even after they grabbed offensive rebounds, watch out Dallas for 2nd chance. Dirk's clutch 3 right after his first missed one is a good indication.

Everyone is talking about how nobody can stop LeBron and Wade one on one, what if Dallas play some mixed zone? It's not like Heat are shooting from everywhere with success. They struggle offensively, ISOs aren't going to cut it, be it one man ISO or two man ISO.

LeBron is the best player in the league now, and he's playing at that level. Dirk is playing out of world as well. LeBron 40, Bosh 20, Wade 20, would be best case scenario, but that's only 80 points. Dallas can score more than that, even if Dirk doesn't shoot a single one-leg fade away.

"He won't have to" is right.

He'll get to the line with ease.

This arguments about Dallas being on par with Chicago defensively are laughable. No, Brenda Haywood and DeShawn Stevenson are not going to do jack **** to stop Lebron/Wade.

This. Or Heat in 6. Either way, they're winning it.

you're thinking too simple. bogans/brewer is definitely better than stevenson/marion. that's unquestioned. you also forget that big men that manned the paint for teh bulls defensively are much better than chandler/haywood/dirk.

the mavs are getting outrebounded in the playoffs by 2. people seem to forget that. the heat will have no problem keeping the mavs off the boards.

the heat will not outscore the mavs. their defense will be the reason they win the finals, if they do end up winning the finals.

if people think the mavs will continue this torrid offensive pace vs this heat defense, then you will think the mavs will win.

i think the heat defense will slow the mavs down a little bit, and when the 4th rolls around, the heat have lebron/wade. the mavs have dirk. that is advantage miami.

    2 questions:

    1. What are you smoking?
    2. Can I have some?

Also, did you really say Dirk did well with Tmac guarding him in an earlier post? Cmon...

Miami in 4 or 5. Dirk will get shut down in the 4th by the King of D.

I actually hope the Heat win.

I don't want Dallas celebrating....period. I will never root for the Jazz or the Mavs unless their winning helps the Rockets somehow.

So what if the Heat win? They'll brag about it sure, but it is better than Dallas bragging about it. Plus it would be funny to see the Mavs fail again in the Finals.

But still...this one is difficult to predict for me. I can see any team winning so i'll just go with my gut and say Heat in 6.

Dirked averaged 22/9 with T-Mac guarding him in 2005 playoffs. Not mind blowing numbers, but not that bad either.

    on 35% shooting.

that's like saying rose wasn't too bad when he puts up 23 and 6, yet you forget that he shot 34%.

any star can score over 20pts if they take a bajillion jumpers.

I'm not sure if anyone realized this or not but all three major league (MLB, NFL & NBA) finals are going to have been played in Dallas/Arlington area for the 2010 season!

Which Team is the more talented Team?

    Dallas or Miami?

    S. Marion < L. James
    D. Nowitzki > C. Bosh
    T. Chandler > J. Anthony
    D. Stevenson < D. Wade
    J. Kidd > M. Bibby
