Based on the summer league so far jones is ahead of him and it's no secret McHale loved how jones finished the season.

My thought exactly. His earnestness about being a Rocket comes through and is endearing. Makes me root for him even more.

If Greg Smith adds a 15 footer he becomes the modern day Otis Thorpe. Wish he blocked a few more shots too with his leaping ability. He seems like a hard worker so I'd bet on him improving. Hope he works with Hakeem this summer on his post moves.

greg smith is awesome! I hope he improves a lot this season and gets that starting 4 spot. he showed a lot of improvement from his rookie season last year. Even though he was kinda inconsistent in the playoffs, he had a stretch of games where he was playing just brilliant. he has potential to be a really good role player this season and going forward. hopefully we don't have to trade him or waive him.

We'd never waive a value contract like his with that production.

I wonder if something is up with Greg Smith:...

    First, according to Feigen yesterday:

    Then, today:

    http://blog.chron.com/ultimaterockets/2013/07/parsons-message-to-howard-houston-is-no-l-a/

    And...

I hope it's not a family emergency or some other bad stuff...
