[NBA.com] Sam Smith suggests an Asik-for-Rondo trade

who makes these threads, dumb trade for both sides smh...in today's NBA, shooting is the premium skill in demand not just among guards and forwards but centers too...basically, if you can't shoot the ball, no one is gonna guard you, even lebron, the best player for the last 5-6 years added a good jump shot which helped him win titles...

If you can get someone of Rondos caliber, you get him. Especially if it's for a player that isn't even playing for you right now. Do we NEED Rondo? No. Should we decline a trade for Rondo? No.

This is no-brainer, with Rondo's help, the Houston Rockets will have a good chance to fight for a championship.
Off couse, there is possiblity that Rondo and Harden won't get along, then Rondo will be gone by next year, and Rockets will loss some trading assets from Asik. However, I think this is a well calculated gamble, they should try to make it happen.

That said, IF the Rockets went for Rondo, it would probably take both Asik and Lin to make the deal work, either as a straight trade with filler, or a 3 team trade.

I do know one thing, if Lin ended up on the Celtics and keeps playing the way he's playing, Knicks fans all over the big apple would be puking at least 4x per year.

 

Rondo can drive about as good as anybody doe, than imagine a kick out pass that doesn't fly into the third row!

His FG% is better than Chris Paul and Jeremy Lins! He knows the shots he can make...

 

I would love to see a 3 team deal between the rockets, Celtics, and trailblazers.

Trailblazers get: D-Mo, T.Jones, R. Brewer, A. Brooks from Houston
Marshon brooks from Boston

Celtics get: Asik, Lin from Houston

Rockets get: LMA from Portland
Rondo from Boston

And of course the rockets would have to give up all there draft picks that they could give up between Portland and boston

Then Houston re signs Camby

Rockets lineup - Howard, Camby
LMA, G. Smith, Covington
Parsons, Casspi
Harden, Garcia
Rondo, Beverly, Canaan
That would be an ideal offensive/defensive team that could challenge any team
It would have to wait til dec. 15 though

Rondo doesn't fit here, must include third team that is in need of a PG.

 

Adding Lin to a trade for Rondo would be absolutely ridiculous. The two would play excellent together. If there is a trade for Rondo, i think Asik plus D-Mo should do.

 

There is no way the blazers give up LMA for those four. Brewer and brooks won't help that team at all and d.mo and TJ haven't shown anything special.
Lol. That's expecting two superstars for scrubs and role players.

 

Lin has been playing great. Why give up a chance on a potential star?

 

Bass isn't really good but if we want rondo enough, I suggest rondo/bass for Lin/asik.

-guessing if this was to go down, morey would want a center to back up Dwight also, I knew when I first heard about rondo in a trade celtics were going to want Lin too... what u guys think ?
