Damn we finished 5th or 6th last season didn't we? I assumed we'l be in the same place with our roster as is. If we acquire another key player like (Dragic,Rondo,Ilyasova) and then spend our MLE and BAE I would expect us to be top 4.
Watching troy daniels highlights and honestly i think he will be huge next year honestly, i'm hoping for an acquisition of a 3rd star, preferably dragic. It hit me that for the max, I'm glad we let Chandler go. i think we can really relegate the reigns of the team to harden and howard and i think they'll step up. we have a good supporting cast in bev/daniels/ariza and we only can go up the rankings are a fluke and i hope the mavs get complacent thinking they've landed a superstar i'm hopeful for next season and i'm happy that the people around the league think we're going to be mediocre. it's a call to a challenge, and i think our players/coaches will step up to prove themselves to the league
Seriously, why do people think the Mavs have gotten that much better!? They'll be improved, but the 4th best team in the whole league!? Give me a break!
Why do people think just because they got Lebron that the Cavs are suddenly gonna be great? They couldn't even crack 35 wins last year. Even with Lebron they gonna be a 50 win team at best.
I think they accidentally flipped Cleveland and Dallas. List would be OK if Dallas was 7 and Cleveland was 4.
As they stand right now, the Mavs got worse. Lost VC. Lost the 5th ranked 3 pt shooter. Replaced Dalembert with a less healthy guy who has worse numbers. Rashard Lewis is done: check his numbers. Jefferson is fading. Check his numbers. They have Ellis and Dirk and whatever Parsons can bring. They don't have defense. T. Chandler is no longer and elite rebounder. He's a worse shot blocker than T. Jones.
I posted the same thing in my duplicate thread in NBA dish. Mavs at 4 is absurd. However, they do have the second best coach in the league in Carlisle which can't be overstated. But even then rank 4 is pushing it given that they lost Vince Carter.
