"There will be changes" has been said every year. And there HAVE been changes, but nothing has staying power because the NBA gives up on an idea if they don't see immediate positive results.

The Elam Ending was a good idea. NBA shouldn't have abandoned it.

The NBA All Star at its peak was a weekend of happy celebration of the NBA .. . or Basketball
If they REALLY want to improve. .. open the Dunk Contest up for the WORLD
They should start a build up from January 1st. . . . dunk tourneys in every city of something
Have countries send their best or something . . ..IMO that builds the brand. . . treat it like an Olympic sport.
Have people send tapes if not tourneys and the selection commitee grab them and bring them in

The Actual Game . . . I am still think the selected players get to send Proxies.
Preferably from the G League . . . .or have a GLeague all stars
Of have the G League mid season tourney
    Giannas can send Thanatis

The NBA should DOMINATE what ever city they are in
Should be like basketball marti gras

3 teams made up of 8 players on each team. League commish divides the teams. Round Robin tourney. Games to 45-50 points. Win by 2; no clock. Top 2 teams play in a 4th and final game. The 8 players on the team to get eliminated after their 1st 2 games relegated for next year. Totally ineligible for All-Star the following year. If all the teams go 1 and 1, wins determined by point differential. Winning team at the end get .25 mil each.

Just put some money on the table. $1 mil for each player on the winning team.

I also love the idea of every selected all star having to choose which event to compete for on Saturday night. I would love to see no non-all stars on those events. Winning player gets $5 mil. Easy.

This is how it should be. Players actually wanting to be competitive, playing defense, and going for the win.

Not this bullshit we have now....
