If the weather holds, they'll be splashing down on Sunday out in the Gulf. Off Pensacola, but way out there.

"Splashing down." It's been many, many years since an America spacecraft did that while returning from orbit. Personally, I think they should have tried it with the gorilla first. Without the bike, of course. Heck, include the bike. There's room for it.

As long as they have the Flex Seal ready when things start coming apart during reentry, they will be alright. ;)

Very cool and good to see some great space news with the successful mission of Space X and the Mars Perseverance Mission.

    Tangent.

Does it seem like Phil Swift does a shot of coke in the middle of this commercial? I mean the commercial starts out very normal and then all of sudden he grabs a chainsaw and by the end he's making chicken noises..

This is something, but it's not really anything. It's like 1961 all over again. Our Alien ambassador must be embarrassed to report the update to his commander. "They've, well yeah, they're not landing on land anymore. And it still takes them 2 hours to open a door." "What should we tell the microbes on Mars?" "Not to worry."

I'm so cornfused about what's going on. N2O4 is bad, but then how's everybody else around it standing around like it's probably nothing? What am I misunderstanding? Are the astronauts going to just stand there in it for a while if they come out?

I tried to kayak yesterday but there was a paper wasp nest on the kayak. I was a wee bit drunk and tried to box the wasps. I lost and now my hand hurts.

Well, with two dudes, it's more like a Gemini mission, TBH. So... 1965 stuff maybe? ;)
