Sam Cassell and Kenny Smith I think are better. And I'm pretty sure Steve Franchise was better too.

Make the same trade for Harden. Skip the Dwight-mare and keep Omer Asik at center. Then go for the best available power forward at max.

you really think we could still have the assets needed to trade for harden if we kept Lowry?

How do we trade for Harden without that pick we got from Lowry, or are you saying we should have signed him last year

We couldn't have made the same trade for Harden and kept Lowry as well. We traded Lowry to Toronto for a 1st round pick which was used in the Harden deal.

The thing about Lowry is that he's always been more of a half-season player. Perhaps because he devotes too much energy and runs out gas, perhaps because of injuries or bad luck. Regardless, Lowry is surprisingly inconsistent.

Dragic and Lawson are probably on the same tier. Dragic probably a slightly better defender just on size alone, but Lawson much better distributor.

Asik has been crap in the playoffs in every appearance. Dwight has showed up.

Rose, Teague and Knight are not better than Lawson.... He is in that Bledsoe, Dragic and Lowry grouping.

Honestly Rose is just bad now... Terrible defensively, poor passer and an inefficient shooter.

CP3, Curry, Wall, Westbrook, Parker are better players than Lawson in every way possible.

Rose, Irving, Lillard are much better scorers but worse defenders and worse playmakers.

Conley, Lowry are worse playmakers and are on the same level as Lawson as scorers but are much better defenders. These guys are probably the best fits for our team in the NBA, but are way out of reach.

Dragic is a better scorer and defender but Lawson is a better playmaker. They're about equal in terms of fit for the Rockets.

    Rondo. No.

I'm not sure I'd call them stars. They're definitely really good players, top 10 PGs for sure, but I can't see them being the best player or the second best player on the title winning team, unlike Kyrie or Wall. I wouldn't call Ty a star either, just a really good player.

Harden wanted a max deal at the time and nobody was willing to bite on that. The Warriors refused to swap Klay Thompson for him and, in the end, it turned out to be the right move because they won a championship with Thompson's defense. The Rockets could have just traded one first round pick (their own) instead of two along with Kevin Martin and Jeremy Lamb for him. OKC was looking to dump Harden because they wanted to make sure they had cap space to keep their core of Westbrook, Durant, and Ibaka.

Howard shot a lower free throw percentage last playoffs than Stephen Curry shot from the three point line. It's not a big deal if you don't shoot a lot of free throws, but with Howard, it is a big deal because opposing teams decide that they rather he shoot free throws and intentionally send him to the line. Sure, Asik is not a good free throw shooter either, but you don't have to use a max contract on him and you could save that money for an elite power forward like Aldridge.

Ty Lawson is incredibly underrated. Except for George Karl's tenure, Lawson has truly gotten lost in the fold in an organization that has no idea what they are doing besides selling tickets. If we are to compare from what we've seen so far the pg's I'd rank ahead of Lawson are:

    Curry mvp, champ...
Paul, still one of the best at making everyone around him better and can be a scorer if need be.
Wall- lead pg's in assists I believe and has an ability to score. If only he could get a little more help
Conley, defensive beast and a leader with Gasol, /Lowry two similar players, lowry definitely deserves the nod for carrying a franchise to the playoffs/ teague Atlanta was awesome and teague was definitely a large reason
Westbrook-pretty much single handedly led his team into the playoffs last season. Freakin Animal.

    About the same level
Bledsoe crappy team but definitely underrated by many
Dragic like bledsoe earlier in the season now let's see what's left in the tank and a better roster.
Parker love him but he's no spring chicken either
Lillard let's see what he can do now that it's an empty house.
Kyrie messed up legs, let's see how he recovers
Jennings-wonders to that detroit team after smith left

Realistically, as of this weekend, no one is a better PG than Lawson.

Before we got lawson, like 15 players. Now that he's a rocket, like 4.
