I know you've got my back...I appreciate it. After all these years, there's no need to feel any emotion in any way towards each other. Just somebody I used to know...know what I mean? Nah, my gf doesn't check it. I get the locker room talk, but I've never been one for that kind of talk. Maybe it's just the way I am, but my gf and I are together and we respect each other. We just don't talk like that or allow others to talk like that about each other.
You know, I recently had a epiphany as to why I have checked out of my last two marriages. It's really personal, and it's something that I happened to witness between my mom and dad when I was very young leading me to feel the way I do when things aren't working out. I've shared that with my gf, and we've talked about the commitment issues. I think just understanding what caused me to close down is going to be a big step in dealing with that baggage I carry.
