SAS and Kellerman discussing it now on First Take. Said by Harden on renowned sports discussion station 97.9 The Box.
The most nauseating part of this discussion is when the holier-than-thou media types attempt to use the fact that Harden won in 2018 as proof that James is wrong. Um, the fact that Harden won in 2018 is exactly the reason why the narrative was so stacked against him in 2019. ESPN's Zach Lowe spelled it out perfectly, before the 2019 season even started: https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/24988629/zach-lowe-crazy-predictions-2018-19-nba-season
5 years later, winning the regular season MVP meant to much for Harden. We could lose in the first round and he would be happy picking up everybody ...
F sas, kellerman, broussard, mcintyre, windwhorst, nichols, burke, beadle, haynes, amin elhassen something, etc etc etc F em all, good for nothin b****ass no talent corporate media whores
Definitely true. From the get go the media pushed HARD for Giannis to be the mvp and the most talked about. He had a fantastic year no doubt but you cant deny how much the media was cramming him down everyone's throats.
Imagine if James shave his beard, go to church instead of the strip clubs and sucking on Adam silver ****, he probably have 4 MVPs by now.
SAS and Kellerman the OP and others probably along w Harden would argue that he didn’t win because of media narrative only.
And with this quote...Harden has all but confirmed he will never win another MVP. Media will hold onto this quote. He’s right, though
