Hey Mango - was gone to a big bridge tournament starting this past Thursday and got back last night. I am going to work on getting the folk rock/singer songwriter, jazz, reggae, and even soul and funk on the iPod. Some of the folk rock/singer songwriter includes: Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, Rickie Lee Jones, Tom Waits, John Prine, Gordon Lightfoot, Joan Baez, Judy Collins, Joan Armatrading, Janis Ian, Laura Nyro, Richard Thompson, Harry Nilsson, Jimmy Webb, Jackson Browne, David Crosby/Stephen Stills/CSN, Cat Stevens, Warren Zevon, Lucinda Williams, Townes Van Zandt, Gene Clark, Donovan, Tom Petty, John Mellencamp, John Hiatt, and Loudon Wainwright III. I think that is about it - will also have The Band, The Byrds, etc - but you get the jist.
And I was torn about keeping my big 4 of angry young man/pub rock in Costello, Jackson, Lowe, and Parker but decided to take them off; however, before switching to folk rock: Elvis Costello - My Aim Is True Joe Jackson - Look Sharp!
I generally Painted Inside Those Lines the past several days. I will likely be going Outside The Lines with Covers and those performing the work of behind the scenes writers............but it should be mellow stuff.
