I've never actually heard of this person, but for some reason, this performance from last week's SNL is absolutely mesmerizing to me:
Sturgill Simpson - Sound and Fury Completely different from any other album he's done. Blues/rock/funk/electronica? Not sure how to describe it.
I was assigned by my former pastor to listen to and meditate on this song: I can't say I'm a big fan of the way Leonard Cohen sings it, but for a perfectionist who doesn't love himself, these lyrics hit me right in the gut, which was the intention. Ring the bells that still can ring Forget your perfect offering There is a crack, a crack in everything That's how the light gets in.
Yeah, I haven't seen a second of it yet, but one of these nights when I'm in the mood.... I still don't know what to think about this album. A whole lot of it is fun to listen to while driving down the highway with the windows down, I do know that much.
I of course have heard of her, but never listened. Then I saw this performance coupled with the one you posted. I liked both of them and thought it showed some versatility. I mean, she’s only 17.
Saw this guy in Katy Texas last night. I knew the Words By Heart. It made me realize It Could Have Been Me with the Achy Breaky Heart at the Old Town Rd trying to figure out Wher'm I Gonna Live when I get home.
