Just opened my deluxe "All Love Lost" album from Joe Budden. I'm a huge fan, but objectively, this is probably Joe's best album. In terms of content and meaning, I believe he's light years ahead of the competition, including Kendrick, J. Cole, etc.. There aren't many lyricists left who speak to life. When the tracks are constantly about money or the club, I lose interest. Nobody is living like that, unless you're 21. The man's catalog is incredibly underrated. If you're a hip hop fan and listen for the substance, word play and realism, Joe is amazing. All of his Mood Muzik and "...Love Lost" collection are different than any other artist out there now. I don't know of many lyricists that go for 7-9 minutes on a given song, just pouring out their soul on the mic. Here's one gem from the album: (Uses the time to admit flaws, addiction, heart break and defeat) <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/VbFIan0gMTU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> He has been overlooked ever since Def Jam made him put out that terrible "Pump it Up" track, but Joey has never been "pop." He doesn't care about that. On his IG, he even thanked fans for buying an album "...without any singles." I respect him for being true to the art and being loyal to himself. Check the album out if you want some October perspective.

Logic's The Incredible True Story came out today and Beiber's album, Purpose. Both are fire in my opinion. Yes, I know I will get roasted talking about JB
Been catching up on new Deafheaven, Beach House, Deerhunter. A lot of good albums out this year. Not sure yet if there are any great ones.
