The new TV on the Radio sounds immaculate. Dave Sitek's production never ceases to amaze me.

Parts of the album are so slick and "happy" I have to kind of adjust my expectations of what I expect a TV on the Radio song to sound like. But when you get down to it the songs are as good as ever, just with a more hopeful tone. Kind of goes against the grain to avoid making a downer of an album after experiencing tragedy, but I imagine it's pretty cathartic for the band.

But yeah, great album. I like it more than their last one. And I consider them the best band of the millennium to this point, so I have pretty high expectations. :p

I will plan on doing the NYC show, +1 for the Heavy Stereo! Saw Ride twice at #'s back in the day and the Backroom in ATX with Lush. 2nd tour had the Pale Saints opening up. Tremendous shows!

Sturgill Simpson on repeat. His show at fitz was ****ing awesome. Totally sold out and a heavy kicker contingency which is definitely not the norm at fitz haha.
