You better bust out some RIDE!!!! http://pitchfork.com/news/57511-ride-reunite-announce-world-tour/
The new TV on the Radio sounds immaculate. Dave Sitek's production never ceases to amaze me. Parts of the album are so slick and "happy" I have to kind of adjust my expectations of what I expect a TV on the Radio song to sound like. But when you get down to it the songs are as good as ever, just with a more hopeful tone. Kind of goes against the grain to avoid making a downer of an album after experiencing tragedy, but I imagine it's pretty cathartic for the band. But yeah, great album. I like it more than their last one. And I consider them the best band of the millennium to this point, so I have pretty high expectations.
True that. Knew about Beady Eye breaking up. Did not know about Ride reuniting. Want to see them in NY. Maybe Gem Archer will reform Heavy Stereo. Or better yet, OASIS.
I will plan on doing the NYC show, +1 for the Heavy Stereo! Saw Ride twice at #'s back in the day and the Backroom in ATX with Lush. 2nd tour had the Pale Saints opening up. Tremendous shows!
Sturgill Simpson on repeat. His show at fitz was ****ing awesome. Totally sold out and a heavy kicker contingency which is definitely not the norm at fitz haha.
