Do they show how Loki and Thor for that matter make it back to Earth? I recall at the end of Thor he destroys the bridge and they wonder whether they could find a way back... or something like that.
Didn't daddy Thor send Thor to Earth using another means? IIRC he ripped Thor of the patches on his armor and then sent him straight to hell (Earth) with magic. I think the bridge was just for simple laymen who doesn't have powers.
I haven't seen the film, but... Spoiler It looks as if Loki, through mind control (seen post-credits in Thor), tampers with Shield's initial test run with the Cube, bringing himself there...later causing havoc by setting off Banner into Hulk mode and breaking out with the Cube. Thor, I'll guess, gets "zapped" over by Odin once they realize Loki's shown up.

Probably should be higher too. If you look at the 2 negative reviews; 1 reviewer has literally given every DC movie she's reviewed a positive rating (including watchmen; which...I've seen several times and is just ok), and every marvel movie a negative. The other reviewer...have a look at his review (he apparently thinks Green Lantern is a better movie...). Anyway, I'm not implying the movie deserves a perfect score or anything ridiculous like that. I'm still surprised at the virtually universal praise it's getting. With Dark Knight being more of a crime drama than a "super hero" movie per se it makes sense. Avengers on the other hand is very over the top. Impressive stuff.
High rating doesn't mean crap. Might just be a fun movie with decent story telling to give it a pass does not always make it a great movie. Mission Impossible 4 is an example of high rating that's just good fun but nothing great about it. Rotten Tomatoes rating isn't accurate. Even if a movie is rated fresh 90/100(Anything over 60% is consider fresh) when the real score lets say average out to 70% on the reviewers' rating it's still 90% fresh.
