Well in the movie universe, Iron Man can go punch for punch with Thor and the Hulk, so there's no reason why he can't be on the level of Thanos. He just needs to create a new gadget.
The latest trailer looks amazing. Little disappointed that they aren't going with the Australian accent for Rocket but still like how all the characters are turning out
I really need to stop watching trailers, this movie looks awesome. Really makes me feel like a kid again. I have a feeling this will be one of my favorite movies, I really hope it lives up to the hype. August can't come soon enough.
What was it? Here's something - http://www.superherohype.com/news/3...s-of-the-galaxy-early-in-select-imax-theaters
yea thats it, it thought it was a screening but its just that 17 min footage here's the link for passes if any of you are interested http://www.seeitfirst.net/pin/552287#Houston_TX
The 17 minutes thing is a really good idea. The people who are going to see the movie don't need to be swayed, while the people who are on the fence, or perhaps aren't going to see it at all, might be swayed by this promotion. Good idea by Marvel Studios. GotG is probably the most hyped Marvel movie, aside from the Avengers.
I thought about it, but I don't think I'm going to go to this. We're only a month away from release at this point. I'd rather not wait 2 hours in line for 17 minutes of the movie. I did that for the Dark Knight Rises Prologue (10 minutes), but...as hyped as I am for this movie I can wait. The Dark Knight Rises Prologue was out like 6 months before the actual movie was.
He never punched it out with Hulk and one shot from Thor dented his suit. From what I remember, Thor struck him with lightning and his suit absorbed it and was powered well above 100%. The science obviously makes no sense, but it was the explanation for him being able to fight Thor for a bit.
It has a talking tree, a talking raccoon, Chris Pratt, and explosions. Which part is not mass market appeal?
To be honest, I think Zoe Saldana's *look* is going to keep some people disinterested, as well as featuring John C Reilly so prominently in the previews, AND there's that pro wrestler guy in it as well, and an old, not-well-made-up Glenn Close.. In other words, for those who do not have any particular interest in this movie specifically, or in superhero/Marvel movies in general, I can see how a lot of the 'general population' might find this a bit of a hard sell. Of course they said a lot of the same sorts of things about Avengers too, and look how that turned out. So we'll see. As for myself, my butt is already in the seat! LOL I will probably be at whatever midnight opening there is the night before it opens. Can't wait!
