She wanted it to be dramatic, I'm assuming.

Maybe it's because it was overhyped and I figured it out before they revealed it but I thought Guardians, Captain America, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and X-Men were just as good or better.

Maybe to disturb the crime scene? If anyone asks why something is out of place, or anything of the sort then she can say it was part of the mad dash to get away? That and she's a drama queen.

Guardians and Edge of Tomorrow were easily in another league compared to this movie. Edge of Tomorrow was downright amazing and vastly underrated.

It's safe to assume it wasn't a short distance. Nobody in that situation/state would hop in a car and drive instead of picking up a phone and calling the cops.

good point. i think she just needed to be that dramatic for the cameras. as in... 'tortured wife drives hundreds of miles to be reunited with her accused husband'. It was all a show for her. You gotta remember she planned it for months.

I think you're missing the point if you're discussing the plausibility of it...

Lots of implausible things in Apes.

For example, the apes never reloaded but somehow never ran out of bullets.

That was the main problem I had with Apes.

What a crappy movie with a bunch of loose ends, crappy ending, longer-than-needed story and a bunch of plot inaccuracies and dismal acting performances.

I liked the girl better in Jack Reacher.

She had the same WIDE-EYED, blank stare in the entire movie. If she smiled or even showed anger or anything else, it seemed force. Her deep-but-soft monotone voice throughout the entire movie, even at the height of when she should have brought the house down with acting, never changed.

    5/10 -

My $6.45 I spent for this movie are long Gone, Girl.

    MOAR:

    A couple questions I had:
How come the redneck trailer trash peeps never came forward? They knew she was iffy. They must have at least questioned whether it was her in their community.
    About what The_Yoyo brought up...
I was thinking the same... it was too short of a time for her to learn all the camera stuff or turn off one or the other.
In regards to more underdeveloped characters, subplot lines:
Wouldn't the cops have gone to get the video of every place where the guy had been, including the casino, where he works, etc.?
The entire FBI questioning with the local detective bringing up a few questions shot down by the FBI peeps should have raised flags.
Lastly, the pregnancy thing begs to keep asking about how Nick will prove he is not the father and finally getting rid of Amy. Just a crappy way to end this movie with "I will be the father to this child" he supposedly knows is not his. Just crappy.

I really enjoyed how natural Tyler Perry acted like the all-knowing and wise lawyer.

    OSCAR-WORTHY nomination goes to:
The cat, who was in character the entire time, waited for Nick to pick him up after being outside, was calm at the door when all the cop lights were flashing outside, and next to the main characters.

Next movie Rosamund Pike is in: Where did her boobs from Jack Reacher go?!?!?!
The Mystery of the Disappearing Breasts... Boobs are Gone Girl.
    :( Dang Hollywood coke diets.

I'm interested in seeing that.

I was not a big fan. The first half had me entertained but the second half lost me and I started getting a little over it all.

Wonderful movie I like the use of cliches and satire, it is high brow with out being uppity. Good role by Tyler Perry black people represent. Camera angles were well above average, the dubbing a nice effect, and extremely good transitions used throughout.

8-9/10 range for me as script, acting, cinematography, directing were all top notch.
