    Wow, this movie was freaking crazy. Hadn't read the book, but my girl had, and I was at the edge of my seat the whole time. Thought the entire cast did fantastic (even Affleck and Tyler Perry were awesome), but Rosamund Pike was amazing, and a scene stealer. It was a truly eff'd up story, but so well told and acted. The way the media is portrayed was also really interesting. So much worked in this movie. 9/10.

    And Affleck has a huge penis. Just saying.

    The writing here was the real winner, but Pike excelled as a psycho b****. That glassy, dead inside look in her eyes was damn disturbing.

    I thought it was awesome as well, but there was one big plothole:

    Where was the lake cabin of Desi's? It had to be somewhere near New York I would assume. If she was truly kidnapped and then got away by slitting the guy's throat, why would she drive all the way back to St. Louis? Why not go to the nearest police station?

    Thought it was odd she was still covered in blood, too.

    I'm going to be the guy that says Emily whatever her name is, is kind of weird looking in this movie. Flame away.

    Great movie,though.

    Just got back from watching this. Me and my sis are totally creeped out and not wanting to marry ever.
    So disturbing. Good acting, especially from the chick.

    Super long but kept me wanting more.

    I loved Guardians but I'd have to give the edge to Gone Girl as well. Such a great movie.

    Wow. This one was a flop for me. I never read the book but I instantly figured out the ending. The acting was amazing, the story was just lacking. I came in thinking it was a whirlwind, a thriller, it was pure vanilla. Oh well.

    I missed part of the ending because of my large Diet Coke (movie pisses are the worst) so I need a little help filling in the blank:

    The last scene I saw was when she returned home and said that he could sleep in her bed...I left to take a leak...came back and it turns out that they are staying together.

    I'm assuming I missed a love making scene because she's pregnant. Why did he decide to stay with her? Why did they never follow thru and put her in jail?
