I'm totally anxious to see what this movie is about even though I no fan of Matt Damon but I think Neill Blomkamp could be the next good director that hopeuflly make an impact and help propel sci-fi movie to another level. It's the next serious sci-fi I'm totally looking forward to. Comic Con is right around the corner so we'll see.
Seems like a cool movie, should be good... I really hope he does a district 9 sequel though. That might have been the best Sci-fi movie ever.
It does but much as I love Mass Effect. People are forgetting that these sci-fi concept arts/story predate Mass Effect and Mass Effect borrowed heavily from it. Just as how much District 9 borrowed heavily from Alien Nation. But I don't really care. I will happily take any good sci-fi movies any day.
It really is about illegals trying to get on the mother ship. Our resident angry righties will not like.
Sounds like Neil Blomkamp‘s Elysium is making the biggest noise from Comic Con so far. Pacific Rim is another good sci-fi to look forward to. <iframe width="853" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/p0JnatHJSEc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="853" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/wiwOGREjDwA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Elysium and Pacific Rim ...sci-fi is gonna kick our asses next year! That space station reminds me of a Halo ring....one of the commentaries I read speculated on whether some of his ideas for Halo would be making it into this movie.

Filmmakers love taking random, symbolic words from Greek or Roman classical history and using that as titles for films lol.
