I'll say this much, this movie is on track to be one of the highest grossing movies of all time. The absolute two biggest superhero franchises in history together will bring about all the men. Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill are dreamy enough to bring in women. Star power for sure with Affleck.

Bale want anything special as batman honestly, his acting is not what made the dark knigh trilogy great. I think ad fleck can fill the role fine

Bale captured Bruce Wayne perfectly. He's been the best Batman IMO.

How about waiting for the trailer first before passing judgment?

Well it's not like I won't be watching this movie. I'm sure I'll be there at midnight. No one liked Heath Ledger being casted and that turned out great. Maybe Affleck will realize he's dealing with an iconic character and will bring his A game.

And that gives me a glimmer of hope. But Affleck is so established already that I'm not sure he can pull it off. We've seen what he can do. Should have brought in someone hungry with everything to gain.

I hope it's like the heath ledger situation where I am surprised by the performance. Ben better not say apples in the movie though.

Bale has been the best Bruce Wayne. Keaton has been the best Batman.

Comic book guys (and gals), syfy types, movie geeks, et al. - let's face it; we've pretty much earned a reputation for being notoriously difficult to please. And while we all have an opinion of the breaking news (some of it boarding on sheer brilliance while other times being loaded with snark), I can't help but recollect the hue and cry when the Heath Ledger news broke for The Dark Knight...

This said, why does a mental image of the cast of The Bang Theory (in character of course) debating the merits of Ben Affleck as Batman come so readily to mind?

The difference between the Ledger hate and Affleck hate is it seems like WB is just going with a big name as opposed to someone who came in and fought for the role. But who knows.

No the difference is Affleck is joining a Zack Snyder movie and Ledger was joining a Nolan movie.

Nolan wouldn't have hired ledger if he knew Heath couldnt play joker in the first place.

I can honestly say I'm over this. I am putting all of my trust in WB knowing they cannot screw up twice with the same character.

That doesn't have anything to do with the "hate" which I referenced, especially since both actors were received poorly when announced.

I couldn't understand what Batman said for all 3 movies.
