Snyder really going all out on the visuals. I just hope story doesn't disappoint. I wish this movie was being released this year.
I hated that movie. I'm not a fan that 80s soft p*rn look. The comic book was interesting, the movie bored me.
I gotta say, having a Pacific Islander as Aquaman (King of Atlantis) makes so much more sense than a blond hair blue eyed guy.
It would have been better had the casting been even slightly close. They got Dr. Manhattan, Rorschach and Night Owl pretty well.. but Silk Spectre and Ozymandias were HORRIBLY cast. Comedian was.. OK. Matthew Goode is a perfectly good actor, but he was just not physically right for Ozymandias.. and Malin Akerman is possibly the worst actress in the history of cinema. I have no idea why Snyder cast her, but I am guess she must be able to do some incredible things with her tongue.. Also, had they stayed with the Alien Squid, it would have been better, rather than making Dr. Manhattan take the fall for the attack. I also didn't care for the ugly gritty 70's/80's look. It was unnecessary and distracting. I will say this though: the Director's Cut is FAR superior to the theatrical release - it fills in gaps and things make quite a bit more sense.
Hmm, the cut is worth it? I give the book a A, the movie is a D+ and agree with your sentiments. Still worth watching for someone like me? Sounds long.
Trainwreck INC for DC Comics/WB <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/jHgMojTedVc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
The whole DC Comics train could end up a wreck if the Marvel and Star Wars franchises absorb all the oxygen.
Michelle MacLaren has dropped out of directing Wonder Woman due to what the parties involved are calling creative differences. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/wonder-woman-movie-loses-director-788500
I am trying to figure out what DC wants to do . .. I know they want a Justice League Movie Honestly they have the stories for it Why is this becoming so difficult to do? The thing with Marvel IS They seem to coordinate between Movie people and Comic people well DC seems to coordinate between TV People and Comic People well I really want these to be some good movies but they really not boistering my confidence in them Rocket River
This leads me to believe that the "creative differences" were actually storytelling vs Zach Snyder-ish slow-motion s*** action with lame dialogue.
Agreed. I love both Marvel and DC, so I'm not exactly biased towards a particular company, but give me the Justice League any day over any faction in Marvel. I just hope they get right.
"A hero can be anyone. Even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a young boy’s shoulders to let him know that the world hadn’t ended."
Biggest issue with Justice League .. . IMO . .. is the inability to have a CREDIBLE Villian You have the Fasted person in the universe. . .well two of them cause Superman is just as fast The Strongest person in the universe The Most powerful Weapon in the Universe It reaches DragonBall Z levels of power . .. which can be boring Rocket River
Same issue for both publishers and the answer is more or less the same, Darkseid for DC and Thanos for Marvel.
I'm sure DC has plenty of villains in the Darseid range. I do know Marvel has a ton - Phoenix, Galactus, Ultron, Onslaught took out all the Avengers, F4, etc...
It should be pointed out that Superman is just a guest actor now in the Flash series. So Flash is superior in every way.
