Kind of figured they go away from Joker but the Superman news in the Empire article really brought a smile to my face.

Not necessarily. Batman survived the same fall after getting shot. The funeral could have been because they wanted Gotham to think he was dead, because Harvey Dent technically died anyway when he became Two Face

How about Daniel Day Lewis...as someone?
    The Riddler, maybe?

Bingo... Keep it dark... Get the very best actors you can.

Keep Catwoman and Robin wayyyyy out of the picture, imo...

If Ledger was still alive, along with this guy, they could make "10 Things I Hate About Batman"

no robin in this version is a very good thing, wouldn't fit Nolan's universe at all.

    No sidekicks!

Daniel Day Lewis would be awesome awesome awesome, but I somehow doubt that he would step down from his lofty abode and star in a superhero movie. He takes himself and his job way too serious for that I think.

I hope this is a joke. Robin is a useless character and wouldn't fit at all with this particular franchise

    This.

I was very skeptic when Heath Ledger was casted as the Joker. Made me eat my words, he did.

Joseph Gordon Levitt would be a great Riddler IMO.

JGL is a top notch actor.

Go see him in Brick, go see him in 500 Days of Summer, and wait for Inception.

No man, you have to go back to the days of yore to see how great an actor he was in......Angels in the Outfield! He carried that movie when a washed up Tony Danza couldn't do it. *flaps arms*
