Bottom line is that we have a role-player logjam at SG/PF because of poor GM'ing.. Ariza Brewer (ridiculous signing) Thornton (gone) Dekker (why did we draft him) McDaniels (can't get him time) we obviously needed a point guard during the draft, and he chose the "best player". That's like the Texans drafting another Defensive tackle because he is the best player even though we need a quarterback and have JJ Watt on the roster.
He should have left Harden and all of that alone - we had a core to build around in Brooks & Landry. Should have built around that. So stupid!!!
I agree with you that Morey is good. But hard to say we are in the same conversation as Spurs, Cleveland and Warriors.
Replace Morey with who? Is he going to do better than Morey with owner Les? If you can answer these question with confidence, fire Morey then...oh wait..

And one of the worst post season records I believe. And yes, most of this falls on Les, but its not like Morey could draft worth a lick anyways.
You know what other team has a logjam at swingman and no true PG? Golden State, unless you count Leandro Barbosa. Having a surplus of interchangeable wings who can play or guard 3+ positions is a good thing, not a bad thing. The swiss-army knife approach of G-State allows for a lot of flexibility for them and means they can play similarly regardless of who is on the court. It's a bad thing when they suck like Brewer this year. BTW - the next PG drafted after Dekker was Jerian Grant, he's not doing much (though,lol, more than Lawson....) his likely destination is the Westchester Knicks in the D-League -how was that going to save the season?
A better question is, Would Morey trade Morey? How much value does Morey has as an asset? Will he sign Morey to a max contract or will he prefer some flexibility, you know, kicking the can down the road. :grin:
That was 5 years ago fam Bottom line is if Mchale can get axed after a WCF final, then Morey should be held accountable. The reputation around this organization has went downhill since Morey became GM. Our star player has been coddled and pretty much does what he pleases. That is on DARYL MOREY.
His tactics and gimmicks has run its course. Time to gt someone who isn't a superstar w**** chaser and a gm that is stable and makes sounds decisions thats best for the team and not want to be a pseudo coach. TIme to send this nerd packing. Next GM need to have some playing experience as well.
People have become spoiled...we didnt even go through the losing some teams go through when they rebuild. Can you imagine 4,5, or 6 seasons of this...CF would "fire" everyone every year.
Let's see how Morey feels about being fired in the same manner he fired everyone else, like all his players
