Some of you should realize that the NBA no longer let's you hand check and with the rules designed to help the perimeter players it is danged near impossible to stop a good perimeter player from getting to the rim.... DD
CB4 is at his best playing the 4 spot but IMO you need someone that can play at both positions. That's why Pau Gasol is soo important to the Lakers. He can play both positions. But as you stated and as we know, the Rockets would more than likely draft or use the LLE for the center position. I think Morey will make some noise come draft night. Although I still think he'll try to do some upgrades during the free agency, draft night is where he'll make the most of it. Waiting around for Bosh could hurt this team. You saw that happened to the Astros when it came to Carlos Beltran. You need to have other plans in place. I can't wait till Draft night. It's going to be crazy.
Doesn't matter, though, because Les wants him back. I just think it's insane to offer a max or near max contract to a player who can't stay healthy. .
No doubt but I would keep Hill over Whiteside...they both need work but Hill is further along on offense. DD
Hill will be the better offensive player, and Hill might be a great rebounder too. But it doesn't look like Hill has much shotblocking ability at all.
Honestly, I can't see them offering him max dollars. I don't think Morey would advise Les to make that move. If they do, we'll know that Les is more worried about making money than having a team to win a championship. Having Yao on your team helps bring in the cash. He's a cash cow just like LBJ.
No doubt, but you don't need a dominate shot blocker, just one that can intimidate.....Hill can do that, he was pretty decent in spurts last season. Yao certainly does it...but we don't know what to expect from him. DD
I like Hill but I think some are putting too much hope into Hill. We saw flashes in him but it's too early to tell what he'll be able to do long term. He could be the second coming of Chris Bosh or he could be S. Swift.

Asidd, You got banned earlier......was it for posting the same thing in every thread like you are doing now? DD
That's interesting, because in another thread you were telling us that teams can simply bottle up Lowry by packing the perimeter and negate his ability to draw fouls, thus rendering him completely ineffective.
That is true, if you can't shoot they can easily do that....... However, most NBA players on the perimeter can shoot better than .397% Of course if you CAN shoot and penetrate, ala Brooks, you are a much better player and a triple threat. DD
Too bad he sucks at finishing and drawing fouls which is why his TS% is the same as Lowry for his career. Maybe that's why the Rockes offensive efficiency goes up when Lowry is on the court and doesn't really chagne when Brooks is off it. Comes from the guy who is trying to dominate 10 different threads by posting the same tiresome "Keep [DaDakota Favorites]! Trade [guys who would take their minutes]" crap that you do every single year. Enough already, you don't really have a leg to stand on in the department of mindless repetition.
Or maybe it is because Lowry is not playing with: Shane, Chuck and Trevor and carrying their lunch. Whatever. DD
The NBA being guard friendly is not the reason Brooks, Martin, and Budinger are all below-average defenders.
No, but the lack of a shot blocking presence in the middle hurts them big time. It is one of the primary reason that people think Shane was worse this year on D..... DD
