Why? He can't handle pressure well.. he doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut and is starting to get into the Stan Van Gundy territory... a guy that panics and is not trusted by his own team..

No thiank you, I will keep RA ... my guess is that we bring in an elite assistant if RA leaves.

with the rocket's luck our coach would get a virus and have to sit out the season.

Some would argue that this has already happened.

Morey might get himself fired before Rick. Dont underestimate his lack of good moves in Les Alexanders reasoning as to why the team has gone nowhere.

the Watson idea is funny but not far from the truth, in that you could use something like that to evaluate coaching decisions after the fact

What is amazing his how efficiently players perform under Adelman. Everyone seems more efficient offensively (all you have to do is compare players before and after Adelman). Under Adelman most players have overall better stats offensively; better shooting percentages, scoring, rebounds, etc.

The defensive short comings are tough.

The ideal Moneyball coach would be merging Jeff Van Gundy with Rick Adelman. How do you do that?

You get a Gregg Popovich and they don't grow on trees.

Out of the vet coaches, I'd love to get Jerry Sloan (god no at Larry Brown) and that's about it.

Up-and-comers and assistants are pretty unknown and it's more important to get a star anyways.

Although Adelman is stubborn, am I the only one that thinks a 'yes man' coach wouldn't be great in a Morey organization? At least not yet.

Lol. I guess Ron Artest, Brooks, Lee, Scola, Dragic, Budinger, Martin, Lowry are all just terrible moves then.

    No, you're not...

No I totally I agree. We need a powerful coach that can work in concert with Morey... If we are going to have Morey take full control, we might as well make him a coach too...

    TR Dunn

    -on staff
-knows the system ( it works )...
-defence minded ( that is a good thing )...
-may keep most of the staff that is here ( if RA does not relocate )...
-pennies on the dollar ( first head coaching job )...
-first head coaching job ( MAY do as told by powers that be )...
-winning will come in time ( it is his shot as the head coach )...
-he seems to be the best of all things at a low cost...

    Give time, time

A slightly above average coach with a slightly above average record and slightly above average ambition who will work at a below average scale.

It is obvious that this team, with it's perfect mix of offensive and defensive players, is perfect for JVG.

There is one possible coaching candidate, though, who just spoke at the moneyball conference and lives in Houston.

I'd (but would Morey?) be glad to see us get the Butler coach.
