Just shows how tough it is. If you assume Harden and Durant cancel each other out, we still got blown out at home
Morey just needs to shut up sometimes. Anyway, the Rox are close to the Warriors when at full strength but just not there. The Anderson signing is the biggest barrier between the Rox having a shot to win a series with the Warriors. You can't have a worthless player making the amount of money Anderson is and be able to build a legit team able to compete with the Warriors.
The hell? Why point out they didn't have KD and then not do the same with us being without Harden and in fact suggesting we're better without him??? We played them at full strength once, and we won. On the road.
Harden is significantly more valuable to the Rockets than KD is to the Warriors. They won a freaking chip without him.
We cant even beat them without our MVP caliber player james harden. Who woulda thunkit? I wonder if the cavs can even beat them without lebron
Thats a HUGE assumption. I think that the rockets are far more reliant on harden then GSW is on durant. GSW won a chip and 73 games without durant
Realisticly no one can beat the warriors. This was a 73 win team that added kd. It took a superhuman effort from LeBron and a suspension to beat them. Then they added kd while keeping all their best players.
Speaking of an obsession to beat the Warriors, CP3's true stripes showed tonight. He despises that team more than anyone on the Rockets. He was so ticked off the last few minutes I though he was ready to hit somebody. That's one good thing about him coming from the Clippers.
Amazing what a difference it makes when Ariza has good games. Ryno can keep playing like absolute dog **** and we still find ways to win, but Ariza has a bad shooting night and the game goes down the drain.
Stole this off Reddit. Draymond Green since his shooting competition with Kevin Hart: 155 games before: Last 25 games in 13-14 season: 24-58 79 games in 14-15 season: 111-329 51 games season before ASB: (68-162) 41.9% Total (208-549) 37.8% 155 games after: 30 games after ASB in 15-16: (32-96) 33.3% 76 games in 16-17 season: 81-263 49 games in 17-18 season: 54-181 Total (167-540) 30.9% Morey needs to entice Hart to challenge Klay Thompson NEXT!
Didn't think this warranted its own thread and this was the most recent Warriors thread I could find... Rockets aren't just 0.5 games (one win) behind GSW. Our win percentages are within 0.004%. Warriors: .772. Rockets: .668. That's darn close is what I'm saying. But it gets better because all things being equal for the rest of the season we have the edge for the 1 seed and home court throughout the playoffs. Rockets and Warriors are just in a completely different league than the rest of the NBA. It's like Morey said, "You're either in the race to beat Golden State or you're not in it," the implication being "you're not in any of it." That was an obvious thing to say but no other GM went out and built a team with that exact thing in mind. And it's so much more fun to root for one of two contending teams than the other 28. And it's so much more fun to root for the challengers than the four-All-Star, world-beating, defending champs. And we are so close. Home court could make the difference in a close series and Rockets can have the one seed and home court throughout the playoffs if they play GS even for the rest of the year. The 1 seed is the Rockets' to lose because, even though we're half a game back it's only in wins; we're tied in losses and we own the tiebreaker. If we stay tied in losses, we're the one seed. That could mean everything. Would be so great to beat Sacramento and have GW lose to Portland. We own the tiebreaker so, if we beat Kings and Blazers beat Warriors (not unthinkable), we would go into the All-Star break in 1st place and could let them sit and think about what they've done (both teams - us happy, them sad). And if both teams win we remain 0.5 games back and we still have the edge for the 1 seed.
