You beat me to it. The rockets just can’t do right on this site. Damned if they do, damned if they don’t. Most people act like everyone besides the rockets are doing magical things with their rosters.

You tell me. What's the purpose of telling the world how about it? How would you feel if your boss said I almost fired dreamshook for another cheaper asset. Do I have to define manners and respect or are you one of the delusional homers?

Or that teams with similar cap situation and assets are making big moves with ease.

We just don't have any young guys/picks other teams want for big moves.

Some/most real world cases are not applicable to the NBA model. Real life Companies don't trade their workers to other companies. This is the business of the NBA. All NBA players know they are a phone call away from being shipped out.

What Morey does from what I have seen, except for that one time when he caught PPat off guard, is he is upfront with his intentions with the players. Morey is not going to say something in the press that he hasn't told these guys in private. It's why you never hear any (not many) players leaving the Rockets bitter or having bad things to say about the franchise.

Dude what are you talking about? He didn’t say I almost traded Eric Gordon for the 20th pick. He just said they almost made a trade. Are you that dense that you think the Rockets are the only team where players are potentially on the trading block? If you’re not a superstar, and sometimes even if you are, you’re at risk to be moved. That’s life in the NBA. Nothing Morey said was even remotely detrimental or shocking. He’s just being a candid GM.

OKC comes to mind. Well they are actually more constrained than we are.

2 high paid stars. No cap space. Only players worth anything in trade are needed rotation guys.

    OKC?

They got George using much better assets than we traded for Paul and we have been much better.

What moves have they made easily or since?

They are now trying to dump Adams to get under the cap now, is that the big move you are talking about?

You also said teams who else you got?

So the trade depended on the other team not having the player they wanted available. That doesn’t necessarily mean the player Morey wanted was picked in the early 20’s. He could’ve gone later.

I think you misread or miss understood.

I was agreeing with the poster I responded to and added other teams in our situation aren’t making big moves easily.

Humans are humans no matter if you're in the NBA or on 9am to 5pm. It puzzles me when people ask who is leaking this info out when it backfires.

Good to hear, but a pick at 20 is not really going to help in "Win now" mode is it?

Rockets are always close. And then nothing happen.
But to make trades to avoid paying the luxury tax where are very efficient.

So lucky to have a GM that gives us some insight.

Embarrassing to have fans that can’t comprehend and are whiny little douchers no matter what happens.
