I think there have been two or 3 games that were blowouts that were unnecessary and embarrassing to be honest with you. I know we have injuries but you cannot always search for excuses otherwise we will be 'moral victors' forever.
Depending on whose perspective Howard got a realistic 3-4 year window. Harden however can play another 10 years
A flexible roster strategy is not compatible with any sort of sustainable complex offensive or defensive 'system'. You can't shuffle players in and out and hope to maintain any sort of continuity on the court that would facilitate the type of contingency planning you are advocating here. Even Morey has said that the 'system' is designed to be simplistic so players can be plugged in on the fly more easily. This is why McHale should have been a serious COY candidate for getting this team to the 2 seed. I agree with Morey that Coach McHale has done a fantastic job this season.
Yes, but most of that is by choice. No one forced us to roll into this season with the roster we did. It's not like the only option was to hope that Melo and Bosh would take less money to sign here. We used the MLE on Kostas - shouldn't he be able to start a game if needed? There was never an opportunity to upgrade Terry? Really? Were we forced to sign Dorsey?
I can't agree with that at all, sorry. We had more player injury games than any other playoff team and we're playing against the team that had the least. We had immense bad luck with injuries this year. I agree we need upgrades to the roster but we can only imagine what this roster would have done if we'd been even just a little healthier. Injuries aren't by choice. The post you made before this one was great though. Would rep but apparently I must spread some around first.
Also, interesting how you list the additions that haven't totally worked out but not the ones that have. You can't say 'we couldn't do better than Kostas, Terry, and Dorsey' without at least acknowledging the presence of Ariza, Smith, Brewer, and Capela.
so then the team's offense and defense is limited not only by mchale's inability to run anything more complex than iso harden up top, but also by morey's daytrading addiction  (tongue-in-cheek guys, let's get game 4!)
