This dude will be a stud for years to come. He is very tall, and although his body is not developed yet, he is a very good DEFENSIVE player. I can see some comparisons to Marcus Camby and is a very GOOD rebounder. He's only 22!
for 22 he has the brain of a 12 year old. He makes Anthony Randolph look like Shane Battier. no thanks.
He exaggerated, but his point is still valid. McGee's basketball IQ ain't the brightest. Regardless, he is on his rookie contract which would make it harder for us to get him without taking a horrible contract. And it makes the Wizards want to hold onto him longer. In fact, I think I saw a thread that had an article talking about how McGee is untouchable while Blatche is on the block.
His stats and PER is not bad at all. It would also be very interesting to see his +/- stat over a long period. If he is contributing on the court and helping his team's numbers, who cares about IQ. Either way, if his bball IQ is not high instead of just blabbing that, it would be helpful to everyone if you guys give would some examples.

I'm not much of a stat person, or... more like I'm too lazy to look the stuff up. But for example, last week against us, McGee had at least two goaltending. It shows his athleticism, but goaltending is something that is preventable. Either way, I would not mind him as a Rocket. I would actually be excited. I just believe his rookie contract makes him untouchable unless we swallow a bad contract.
lol that's what i said!! i mean i don't know if you're being sarcastic or not, but for a center to steal the ball and be a one man fast break is impressive!!
Right on!! What is even more impressive is to attempt that with 20 seconds remaining in a game where you are losing by 25 points to the worst team in the NBA. Running out the shot clock is for losers and quitters! NO FEAR BABY!!!
He's good friends with A. Blatche it maybe too late that toxicity may have contaminated whats left of J. McGee
McGee would be great for the team. Top 5 in shot blocking in only 27mpg. He's already a much better shot blocker than Camby and twice as athletic than Camby ever was. 7'1, super athletic centers, with a 7'6 wingspans are so easy to come by now I guess. I really don't see why people hate on him here so much but yet are all over a 37 yr old Camby and all over Cousins when he's probably more immature on and off the court. Aside from that one recent incident with Blatche, who's the real problem, McGee hasn't done anyway wrong. He makes some questionable plays at times but young players will do that. He's only 22 like the OP stated. Still has room to grow but would be a tremendous help for us now with his length and elite shot blocking.
