But its how we're winning thats concerning. We should not be losing 25pt leads to teams like Washington. There are too many times during the game where we don't run anything and look completely out of it. Karl actually runs plays and has a game plan
**** not to Carl! He's a drama-filled coach. He'll have his favorites, doghouse some others, has a an ego bigger than anyone else. Horrible playoff track record, and just a complete waste of space. We have to be patient with our search; I'd love to see Thibs want out of Chicago, negotiate a buyout, and then come here. I can easily see Thibs and Chicago FO butting heads. He'd be excellent here. We need a top tier coach; one that holds players accountable, has experience, defense first, and not a complete dumbass on O. Stan and Thibs are our own real options--assuming Thibs GTFO from Chicago.
It's the regular season. Fans don't care about mistakes in the regular season. Under the rockets system do players that try get better and learn from their mistakes? yes. Are the rockets winning? yes Most of this anti McHale stuff sounds like out of work nba coaches and their agents dreaming about coaching the rockets.
Every fan base thinks their particular coach is holding them back, and screams to have the coach fired. Even if the coach is George Karl or Lionel Phillips. Phil Jackson was the stupidest coach on the planet with the absolute worst rotations and game sense anybody had ever seen - I remember how everybody put him down. Then the league started marketing Michael Jordan full-time and gifted Chicago a couple of championships and Jackson became the Zenmaster overnight. All of his "boneheaded" player combinations and rotations and not calling timeout when things were beginning to slip away suddenly and retrospectively morphed into a master plan of making his players grow to meet adversity.
Wow. Karl. The guy that got booted from from Denver after winning COY? Do you understand why he got sacked? Do you understand the issues with Karl as a coach? And how would he and Morey co-exist? Are you for canning Morey? Because that would be the outcome. Adelman is less of an a**hole than Karl and he was shown the door. 84 posts and you tread on these waters? Fools venture where angels fear to fly.

But are we moving in the right direction to a championship caliber team? Hell no. Jacking up contested 3's & playin iso ball will not win a championship. Yet McHale (and Daryl Morey) encourage this. George Karl will not tolerate guys jackin up shots not playin D on the other end. We need a coach that'll ruffle some feathers, Karl's not afraid to do that. He's also experienced and can coach different styles
Well, 20 years ago would matter if illegal defense came back into the league and George Karl's team becomes the only team in the NBA that they let play zone defense.
But in all honesty he lead his team to the finals so he isn't exactly " The Tracy Mcgrady of coaches" as you put it, regardless of the rules.
Karl is an upgrade, but not the answer. Career playoff underachiever. He's been out of the first round maybe 2x. Owns TWO (2) 1st round upsets as a #1 seed. PHIL JACKSON would be GREAT!!!
False The Rockets haven't had a .666 winning % since 3-1. Many of the games we do win, are much harder than necessary.
