Cuban is overpaying Parsons, unlike the Rockets who would have been over the cap anyway. I don't consider that a victory.

Exactly.....laugh it up, chuckles. You are paying Parsons more than Dirk. I don't think that is what Dirk had in mind when taking a hometown discount.

Les owe's you a thank you letter for getting him out of luxury tax land.

Oh, and lastly-- Chandler. You got annoyed with James for his ball stopping and non-defensive tendencies? Let me introduce you to Montae Ellis!! Although I can't fault you for taking the $$$, hope you enjoy mediocrity.

For Cuban the victory is in acquiring a key player from Houston. He did it more out of spite than basketball reasons. Plus he realizes no superstar wants to go to dallas so he got a solid player in the process.

Kind of sucks considering we could have exercised his option and traded him for something of value.

    This.

We are going to be all sick in our stomachs if we lose Parsons for nothing. Just think about the haul of future draft picks or players Morey could have gotten for Parsons + fillers. For that reason, I do not see any possibility we are not matching Dallas' offer. No way.

the clock to match starts in 2 hrs....... i hope morey and his crew are working around the clock and stayin in touch with Boshs people. Too bad the future of the rockets lies in the decision of one of the biggest drama kings in the history of the NBA. LBJ. This has the potential to turn out very very bad.

    Morey's Greatest Hits:

Draft: Aaron Brooks – 26th pick
    Draft: Chandler Parsons (2nd round)
Draft: Terrence Jones, PPat (Mid/Late 1st rounders)
Trades: Spanoulis & 2nd round pick for Luis Scola
Trades: Bobby Jackson, Donte Green, and 29th pick for Ron Artest
Trades: Rafer Alston for Kyle Lowry (& Brian Cook)
Trades: Aaron Brooks for Goran Dragic + First Round Pick
Trades: Kevin Martin + Jeremy Lamb + 2 picks for James Harden
Free Agent: Free Agent: Dwight Howard – 4 year (opt out after 3 year)

    Morey's Greatest Errors:

Free Agent: Goran Dragic lost to Suns for nothing after refusing player option
Free Agent: Chandler Parsons (not picking up year 4 of rookie deal)
Free Agents Signed: Brad Miller, B Barry, S Francis, Ronnie Brewer (all)
Amnesty: Luis Scola (nothing in return for solid player AFTER Morey overpaid)
Draft: Marcus Morris (over Kawhi Leonard)
    Draft: Royce White (over anyone)
Draft / Trade: Drafted Nicolas Batun – traded for Joey Dorsey + Donte Green
Trade: 1st round pick for Terrence Williams (2013 1st rounder, pick #18)

Morey usually wins trades & finds a lot of bargains beyond the mid first round. Except for TWILL, he has won big, or at least pushed on every trade. Morey's free agent plays are a mixed bag by comparison, but Dwight was a huge score.

Trade Lin and a 1st round pick expecting Bosh and come up empty handed.

    Risky Maneuvers indeed.
